IMPLEMENTATION OF EXPERT SYSTEM IN PETS

ABSTRACT

To manage any shop we need proper documents, paper, order list, purchase and sell list, etc. Apart from this each and every file have to be turned for a simple enquiry. If a customer wants to update or know his product details, the shop owner has to turn each and every page of files to get the details. The manual process turns very tedious so we came across with a resolution. We have worked on a project to solve this issue for a “PET SHOP” and developed a web-based format to manage every process like product details of animals, birds, products, customers etc. We have pages for animals, birds, sale details, products, customer’s details. It brought the way of managing the information of shop from manual to electronics. The objectives of the project are to provide web-based interface to a pet shop owner to manage his pet shop activities. We have provided an option for Expert system that will help in medical diagnose for pets. Similarly, an option for storing and managing the sales details of the shop have been added. Shop owner gets an option for storing and managing the basic information about the customer and track the information about sold pets and products to a customer.

I.

INTRODUCTION

The “IMPLEMENTATION OF EXPERT SYSTEM IN PETS” is a system that provides the management for the pets along with the expert system. These include the pet information management and the services of Animals, Birds, Products, etc. All the important criteria such as the pet’s name, breed, date of birth, color, etc. are mentioned in the website. This website allows Admin to control all the major activities like any update in Animals, Birds, Products or Customers. The manual process turns very tedious so we came across with a resolution. We have worked on a project to solve this issue for a “PET SHOP” and developed a web-based format to manage every process like product details of animals, birds, products, customers etc. We have pages for animals, birds, sale details, products, customer’s details. It brought the way of managing the information of shop from manual to electronics. Apart from this each and every file have to be turned for a simple enquiry. If a customer wants to update or know his product details, the shop owner has to turn each and every page of files to get the details.

METHODOLOGY

MODULE 1: Sign in module for both Admin and User:

In this project there is Sign In module for both Admin and User. New user can register with their name and password and can login in website to get benefits from it.

MODULE 2: Web based interface for both user and admin:

We have provided a web-based interface for both Admin and User so they can view products, use our services like Expert system and many more.

MODULE 3: Online shopping module:

Online shopping service is available. User can view the products, add to cart and can perform all online activities in our website. If user have any queries, they can contact us through the information provided at bottom of the page.

MODULE 4: Expert System for Medical Diagnose:

We have added an advanced feature in our project where users can use our Expert System for Medical Diagnose. Here user have to select the pet category, fill the pet information and select the matched symptoms from the list. Our Machine will generate a valid and verified result to the user.

LITERATURE REVIEW

Pet Shop Management System for Klinik Veterinar Surgeri Jawhari.

Online shopping has become one of the most essential type of marketing in today’s world. This paper reviews the published research results relating to online shopping of pets using methods of visiting pet shop. This paper manages only the record of pet shop manually which needs lots of man works and is time complexity. Furthermore, it throws light on some of the challenges and future research needs [1]. systems in that they are used to analyse other information systems applied in the operational activities in the organization [3].

Academically, the term is commonly used to refer to the group of the information management methods tied to the automation or support of human decision making, e.g., Decision Support Systems, Expert systems, and Executive information systems [3].

Organizations today operate worldwide, a fast and competitive environment. One of the essential resources they need to do their jobs effective and efficient data management. Data management is a common term use system reference.

Offers an interface capable of hiding physical objects directly file performance, while focusing entirely on data it makes sense. Database program is a software program component related to the Database Management System and file management system [2]. The Domain Management System (DBMS) is helpful organizations to manage their data in a rational way. In building a relationship-related database, there are three big data models, namely; the idea database, logical database, and physical details. Emphasis on sensible data model in 'logic', which is a readable and useful method in representing knowledge [5]. This data design is widely used because it creates a file for simple data form for each relationship and many-to many relationships [5]. Total data logical design Entity Relationship (E-R) models [6].

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Existing System

This paper presents the development of Pet Shop Management System (PSMS). PSMS is able to manage animal information such as producing a pet birth certificate. In addition, the program provides payment for a accounting service and generates a receipt for payment. By developing this system, the management of pet shop performs in systematic through its function requirements. The users of PSMS are the manager and the staff. Customers have to visit pet shop for any circumstances.

Proposed System

Proposed system has total web-based portal. User has to login and use the services like online shopping, Expert system, review any pets, and many more. User do not have to visit shop for any circumstances like existing system. Modification has been done.

Advantages

 Providing an enhanced option for Expert System which will help in medical diagnosis for pets.

 This website allows Admin to control all the major activities like any update in Animals, Birds, Products or Customers.

 Maintaining a Database for a Pet Shop.  fully online shopping module.

Feasibility Study

An important outcome of the initial investigation into the proposed program is possible. Practical research is being done to select the best system that meets the operational requirements. Studying the feasibility is necessary and it is wise to assess the feasibility of the project very quickly. It involves a preliminary investigation of the project and a consideration of whether the developed plan will be useful to the organization. Months or years of effort, billions of dollars and unexplained professional embarrassment can be avoided if a pregnant program is identified at the beginning of the definition section.

Economic Feasibility

Economic Acquisition discusses the economic impact the organization is facing to implement the new system. Financial benefits should be equal to or exceed the cost. The cost of making a full program, including the cost of software and computer hardware for the target program section to be evaluated.

Economic Feasibility in this project:

No additional staff need.

There are no additional costs involved in maintaining the proposed system.

Technical Feasibility

Performance Technology Availability works with hardware and software requirements. Technology is no barrier to typing program development. We need to find out if the required technology, the proposed equipment has the ability to capture information, used in the project, should be tested to make this technology work.

Technical feasibility.

The technical feasibility includes these: -  The system can be expanded.

 This Website can be accessed by every Operating System.

Social Feasibility

Social feasibility is one of the feasibility studies where the acceptance of the people is considered regarding the product to be launched. It describes the effect on users from the introduction of the new system considering whether there will be a need for retraining the workforce.

The Social feasibility includes these:  Easy for the customer to buy pets.

 Helpful for the Customer to find disease in his/her pet.

GENERAL ARCHITECTURE

In our Webpage User collects the data form from the Frontend, we are using HTML, CSS, JavaScript as a frontend that will be interacted with the user and then the frontend will request the Backend that is PHP, JavaScript, Python, Java in which server is having link with the File System (HTML, CSS, Images) and Database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB). After that Backend will send response to the Frontend and Frontend will display the results to the User/Customer.

IMPLEMENTATION AND TESTING

The main function modules of the system include online shopping, order management, Expert System and implementation of User as well as Admin login and registration. And the system supports MYSQL and XAMPP Server, which interact with database and perform data manipulation.

Software Testing is a powerful survey designed to provide participants with information about the quality of a tested product or service, in relation to the context in which it is intended to operate. Software testing also provides objective, independent software reviews to allow businesses to identify and understand the risks to software use. Software Testing also provides an objective, independent view of the software to allow the business to appreciate and understand the risks at implementation of the software.

Input and Output

Input is given through keywords, mouse, etc. and accordingly we receive result as our Output on screen of system.

Input Design

Input design is a part of overall system design the main purpose during the installation design is given below:  To produce an inexpensive method of installation.

 Archiving is the highest level of accuracy.

 Ensuring that input is user-friendly and understandable.

Output Design

Design One of the most important features of a user information system is the output of the system. Apart from the quality of the output, the whole system may appear unnecessary which will prevent us from using it which may cause it to fail. The output design should carefully consider the systematic approach throughout the process. The appropriate result should be improved while ensuring that each output item is designed so that people can find the system easy to use.

Testing

The Software Testing test, depending on the test method used, can be performed at any time during the development process, but a major testing effort is used after the requirements have been defined and the coding process is completed.

Unit testing: Test result

Unit result test focuses on the verification effort is the smallest unit of software e.g., module. The Each module was tested with the provision of separate input modules and completion of each module so that each module operates without error. The inputs are validated when accepting from the user.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONS

Comparison of Existing and Proposed System Existing: -

 Allows shopping of different pets by visiting shop.

 Maintaining a manual Database for a Pet Shop that consume lots of paperwork and manpower.

Proposed: -

 Online Shopping Module.

Advantages of the Proposed System

 User can use option for Expert System which will help in medical diagnosis for pets.  User not need to visit shop to buy any products.

 Fully online shopping module and maintain online database.  Reduce manpower and increase time efficiency

CONCLUSION

The development of this Animalz World is great improvement over the manual system which uses lots of manual work and paper. The computerization of the system speeds up the process. The Animalz World is fast, efficient and reliable, Avoids data redundancy and inconsistency. It contains all the functional features described in objective of the project. This web application is capable for using expert system for medical diagnose of pets.

Future Enhancements

We can enhance this project and can implement this as a search engine for the disease diagnosis system. In the future, we will add selling features from the user side too so that they can sell their pets online.
