PFE Online Application Help File

Please follow this step-by-step guide to help complete the PFE online application form for

Educational Oversight. (Please note, failure to complete all required information may result in ISI not accepting your application).

Registering on the PFE website: http://www.educationaloversight.co.uk/candidate/register/

To register you must click ‘here’ on the start the application process section.

You will now be prompted to provide a name and email address. Please complete both fields and click ‘Send Registration Link’.

The following email will now be sent to the email address you have provided:

Can the above be made any bigger it is very small?

Clicking ‘Enter new account details’ will take you to the registration page:

Please make a note of your username and password and keep them safe. You details have now been confirmed and the account has been created. Please now click ‘here’.

This will take you back to the sign in page. Please enter your username and password in the ‘Existing Users’ section.

You are now logged in. You will now see to the Eligibility check terms and conditions.

• Application Page

Please read the eligibility terms and conditions criteria carefully before agreeing. Failure to meet any of these requirements will result in the application being rejected.

• College Details

Please complete all mandatory fields in this section.

• College Details (continued)

If the college has more than one site please ensure you have provided all additional addresses.

Please save the information by clicking ‘Update College Details’ and now complete the next section.

• College Diary

In the diary section you can provide details on all non-teaching days/events/conflicts that ISI will take into consideration when scheduling your inspection. You can detail dates and type of event by right clicking on a specific date and entering the date range in the pop up Diary Event box.

When you have entered all dates please click ‘Update Diary’ and continue to the next section.

• Affiliates and Competitors

If your institution is part of a group, please enter the name of the company in the Group field.

Affiliated institutions are those where it would be appropriate to schedule simultaneous inspections, i.e. separately registered parts of a large school complex.

Competitor institutions are those from which it would be inappropriate for an inspector to come from. Any school or college with a close connection should be listed and not just those within the local area.

Please click ‘add’ to enter details of any Affiliates or Competitors. A list of all ISI registered institutes will auto populate in a list. Please save and move to next section.

If you do not have any known Affiliates and Competitors, please move to the next section.

• College Numbers

In this section we ask you to download the Course Data Template.

By clicking on Course Data Template, an excel template will be available for you to download. A list of all courses, levels, awarding bodies and predicted student numbers along with historical student numbers must be provided. All courses must meet the criteria for Educational Oversight (ISI reserve the right to reject your application at this stage should the criteria not be met.).

Please Save the spreadsheet into a folder locally and upload the spreadsheet by clicking ‘Choose File’, select the file and click ‘Upload’. This will now auto-populate the data in the ‘Uploaded Data’

fields. Please now move to the next section. You can correct any data errors by amending the spreadsheet and re upload the file.

• Accommodation

If your institution provides residential or homestay accommodation, please complete the sections below and click ‘Save’. If you do not provide accommodation please move to the next section.

• College Files

Please upload evidence of a year’s teaching. This should include at least one course that fulfils Home Office requirements for students on Tier 4 visas.

Evidence could include:

• Student registrations with an awarding body

• External examiner reports

• Copies of students’ certificates of completion

• List of students’ registrations, produced by the awarding body

• List of students’ results, produced by the awarding body

Please name each document that you are uploading clearly. Please upload each document one file at a time by clicking ‘Choose File’ selecting the file and click ‘Upload’.

Please upload evidence of the institution’s address.

Evidence could include:

• Proof of ownership/licence/lease of the college’s premises

• Evidence of appropriate planning permission

Please name each document that you are uploading clearly. Please upload each document one file at a time by clicking ‘Choose File’ selecting the file and click ‘Upload’.

• PFE Application

ISI inspections run quarterly throughout 2015. You can now select your 1st and 2nd quarter

inspection preferences. (Please note inspection preferences are allocated on a first come first serve basis, therefore we cannot guarantee all requests will be accommodated).

Please ensure you have checked that all sections have been completed, if you have missed anything you can return by selecting ‘continue your application’.

If you have provided all the required information you can now submit your application.

You will receive the following email:

An application for inspection has been made through the Tier4 application form at *Date 2014*

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for applying for an educational oversight inspection with ISI on behalf of *College name*.

We will be in contact in due course to notify you if your application has been successful.

• What next?

ISI will conduct a review of all applications. You should receive an email notification to advise you of the decision no later than week commencing 27 October 2014. Unless you have a general query with regard to the application process, please do not contact us before this date as we will not be able to give you a decision.
