Steeped in history and carved into the Irish coastline beside the fishing village of Ardmore in County Waterford, the Cliff House Hotel is a chic boutique hotel that is full of personality and
signature ocean features that lends itself to be the ideal location for your once in a lifetime wedding celebration.
Civil ceremonies up to and including 40 people can be catered for in the North Pavilion room which overlooks Ardmore Bay. Applications for your ceremony should be made at least three
months before your preferred wedding date, however, it is advisable to apply as far in advance as possible to guarantee requested dates to the Health Services Executive Office. We will complete a declaration form for each individual application and also ensure that the standards set out by the Health Service Executive Civil Registration Office are adhered to at
all times. All fees should be discussed directly with the Health Services Executive Civil Registration Office.

There are three options to choose from with regard to hosting your wedding at the hotel. NORTH PAVILION PRIVATE DINING ROOM
This room is designed to seat up to 30 people comfortably. The pre-dinner reception can be held in either the residents lounge, main bar or outside on its own private terrace and after dinner entertainment can be arranged in the North Pavilion. The North Pavilion is also best suited to hosting the civil ceremony if required.
THE HOUSE RESTAURANT
The House Restaurant can seat a maximum of 40 people.
The House Restaurant can be booked for a private wedding on the nights that the restaurant is normally closed – usually Sunday to Tuesday depending on the season. Pre-dinner
reception and after dinner entertainment can be hosted in the North Pavilion.
EXCLUSIVE USE
All 39 rooms in the hotel can be booked exclusively for a wedding party which can then accommodate a maximum of 40 guests in total.
The wedding reception is held in the Bar area or on the outside Bar terrace, weather depending, followed by the wedding dinner in the House Restaurant and Private Dining Room. After dinner entertainment is then provided in the Bar area afterwards.

Every wedding at Cliff House Hotel is unique, depending on your numbers and time of year a minimum amount of rooms are required.
All thirty-nine bedrooms look out to sea, many with their own private
balcony. The bespoke rooms are styled with Campaign antiques and oversized furniture upholstered in modern linens and tweeds. Beds are back lit with unique headboards designed by a number of local artists using indigenous Irish materials such as linen, glass and dried petals.
The bathrooms are a real treat to the eye with luscious coloured mosaic tiles and vibrantly coloured glass, which smartly contrast with the granite grey stone characteristic of the hotel.
Luxury bath products sit easily atop the egg-shaped floor standing baths; while in the Cliff Veranda Suites, you can shower quite literally under the stars as the enclosed glass
surround extends onto the Veranda.
We cater for civil ceremonies in the North Pavilion which can hold up to 40 guests. This room is located in a quieter area of the hotel which has three walls of windows overlooking Ardmore Bay. Civil Ceremonies usually take place on Monday to Fridays between 9:00am and 6:00pm. The venue hire for a Civil Ceremony in Cliff House Hotel is €500.
Should you wish to book a civil ceremony you will need to contact the local registrar, Mary Lyons who is located in the nearby town of Dungarvan. Call +353 (0)58 20900 or email [email protected] and then submit your application to HSE. They have to approve the venue and give written confirmation of same to both parties.

Should you decide to get married in a church be it local to Cliff House Hotel or otherwise, consideration should be given to arrivals times back to Cliff House Hotel to commence the Wedding Arrival reception and Banquet. Dinner call is at typically 5:00pm with guests seated by 5:30pm. Speeches may take place during the Arrival Reception or post banquet.
Church Wedding
The Arrival Reception may be held on the terrace overlooking Ardmore Bay. For more intimate ceremonies the North Pavilion can also cater for the reception, as the room can be set for the Civil Ceremony and a lounge area.

PRE-WEDDING CELEBRATIONS
The night before your wedding some of your family and friends may consider staying over in the Cliff House Hotel. We are happy to reserve a space in either our Bar restaurant or House Restaurant, if available. Please note that the special wedding accommodation rates do not apply to pre or post-event stays. Normal leisure rates apply.
PRIVATE POST WEDDING CELEBRATIONS
Subject to availability, we may be able to host a post wedding day celebration. Please ask your co-ordinator for more details & about the terms and conditions. DEPOSIT & PAYMENT
The deposit is based on 25% of expected wedding cost upon confirmation of booking.
Please note that final banquet numbers are required 14 days prior to the wedding. If numbers fall from within 14 days you will be charged the agreed tailored package price.
