Security Corner
Kings Point Tram services available to every resident!
All tram riders are required to wear masks.
REMINDER!
We are now allowing guests at this time.
If using the tram from the clubhouse, transportation office MUST be notified before quarter-past the hour and you must be present in the foyer by 25 minutes past the hour.
Passengers must be waiting in front of their homes ready to board the tram upon arrival.
Drivers are prohibited from assisting passengers when boarding and exiting the vehicle. If a resident has difficulty boarding or exiting the vehicle, a Kings Point resident or lessee escort must accompany and assist the resident. Drivers are not permitted to assist passengers with groceries, shopping bags or other packages *Two Bag Maximum* and walkers.

Monday-Friday on the half-hour
Shuttles residents, and lessees to ALL locations within Kings Point.
If you want to attend an event at the North Clubhouse, South Clubhouse, 2020 Centre, Community Pools or you simply want to visit a friend, call 387-3470.

In order to better serve the community, the Transportation Department has set up a special emergency phone number, available in the event the office phone is not functional and residents are unable to leave messages for tram drivers: 918-0246.

We’ve received reports of residents getting calls from people claiming to belong to police
organizations, asking for donations. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office does not call to solicit donations. These are scam calls. Our very own Deputy Merry recommends looking on websites like charitynavigator.org to find reputable charities to donate to, so you’re sure your donations are
benefiting exactly who you want them to.

September 23rd: KP “Singles Social” kicks off the season with a meet and greet featuring some fun and welcoming “get acquainted”
introductions. This kick off meeting will provide an opportunity to socialize, and we will also be discussing future activities. A portion of this kickoff meeting will also be dedicated to taking your suggestions.

Kings Point Amateur Radio Club meets the second Monday of every month at 1 pm in the Meeting Place Room.
Apple Club Come join us in our journey of the exploration of all things Apple. Meetings are the second Wed. of each month in the Veteran’s Theater from 12pm-2pm. Kings Point Mixed Chorus has regretfully cancelled the Fall Season, which was due to begin on Monday, Sept 13th. Due to the surge of the highly contagious COVID 19 Variant the Board of Directors has determined it is not feasible to resume activities at this time. We are cautiously optimistic that we will be able to re-start on Jan 10th, 2022 as scheduled. A Notice From Your Federation Board
Change in Transfer Fees:
New legislation from the State of Florida became effective July 1, 2021. This legislation increased the Transfer & Lease Fees to a maximum amount from $100 to $150 per transfer.
The current fee in Kings Point will increase for new owners and renters effective 09/01/21 to $150.00.
The fee is charged on the property, not on the number of residents. However, this does not apply to a Lease Renewal.
It is the first increase in fees since 2012. After 5 years, this
fee can increase with the Consumer Price Index.
