You can use your mouse to scroll over each piece of the pie to see how much each Location is saving.

Cooler Performance

The Cooler Performance looks at all the individual coolers and calculates the amount of time that they are operating between the Upper and Lower Deadband. Typically the Deadband is set at ±2 degrees of the Target Temperature.

The Software takes the average of all the Coolers to determine the Mean. Any cooler that has a performance value greater than 10% of the Mean will be Highlighted Green and cooler with a performance value less than 10%

of the Mean will be highlighted in Red. The values around the Mean will be highlighted in Yellow. Using your mouse, you can scroll over top each piece of the pie and see how each location cooler is performing.

Things that can easily affect the Performance of a Unit are when the door is propped open, Ice Build-up on the Coil, or poor seals on the Unit.

Freezer Performance

The Freezer Performance looks at all the individual walk-in freezers and calculates the amount of time that they are operating between the Upper and Lower Deadband.

Typically, the Deadband is set at ±2 degrees of the Target Temperature. The Software takes the average of all the Freezers to determine the Mean. Any Freezer that has a performance value greater than 10% of the Mean will be Highlighted Green and Freezer with a performance value less than 10% of the Mean will be highlighted in Red. The values around the Mean will be highlighted in Yellow. Using your mouse, you can scroll over each piece of the pie to see how each Freezer is performing.

Savings Area

In the Savings Area of the Home Page you will see 4 Tiles. The Tiles are Total Electrical Savings, Fan Savings, Defrost Savings, and Compressor Savings these savings are represented in kWh saved over the Last 30 Days.

The Total Electrical Savings is the cumulative of the Fan, Defrost, and Compressor savings.

6 In the Upper Righthand corner is a drop-down box labeled ‘Locations.’

When you Click on the Locations box you will see a drop-down listing of all the Locations where the WIF & WIC systems have been installed and connected.

Savings and Performance Graphs

Savings Last 30 Days – is the combined savings calculated for the Fans, Compressor and Defrost over the last 30 days for this set of Walk-in Cooler and Freezer.

Cooler Performance – The Cooler Performance looks at the individual cooler and calculates the amount of time that it operates between the Upper and Lower Deadband. Typically, the Deadband is set at ±2 degrees of the Target Temperature. Takes the average of all the Coolers to determine the Mean. If the Cooler has a performance value greater than 10% of the Mean it will be Highlighted Green and if the Cooler has a performance value less than 10% of the Mean it will be highlighted in Red. If the Cooler’s value around the Mean it will be highlighted in Yellow.

Things that can easily affect the Performance of a Unit are when the door is propped open, Ice Build-up on the Coil, or poor seals on the Unit.

Freezer Performance – The Freezer Performance looks at the individual Freezer and calculates the amount of time that it operates between the Upper and Lower Deadband. Typically, the Deadband is set at ±2 degrees of the Target Temperature. Takes the average of all the Freezers to determine the Mean. If the Freezer has a performance value greater than 10% of the Mean it will be Highlighted Green and if the Freezer has a performance value less than 10% of the Mean it will be highlighted in Red. Click on Settings Tile – will pull up an additional screen where you can adjust the operation of the Controller.

Once you make an adjustment in the settings you must click ‘Apply’ for the setting to be sent to the controller.

The Hysteresis is the Deadband that we talked about earlier during Performance Calculations. The is the Temperature range ± from the Target Temperature that the temperature can fluctuate between without causing the Compressor to kick-in. Once the temperature gets to 60% of the high side of the Deadband the controller Automatically kicks the fans on high to utilize the latent cooling in the Box to bring the temperature back down. If this is unsuccessful in bringing the Box temperature back down and it raises to +2 degrees of the Target Temperature, then the Controller calls for the Compressor to kick-in bringing the temperature back down.

(10)

10 Click on History Tile - will pull up a Graph showing the last 7 days of recorded temperatures.

Typical Freezer Graph

Typical Cooler Graph.

In the Graph you will see (3) Colored lines – Blue Line represents the ‘Space Temperature’, Red Line represents the ‘Coil Temperature’, and Orange Line represents the ‘Target Temperature’.

At the top left-hand corner, you have 4 Zoom Data criteria that you can choose from 1-hour, 8-hour,1- Day, and ALL. These indicated the amount of information to be present on the Graph.

At the Bottom of the Graph is an overview of the last 7 days of Data. You will see a selector slide at the right-hand side of this graph. The selector slide is based upon which Data Zoom criteria you selected.

(11)

11 When we talk about Walk-in Cooler or Freezer Performance, what the calculations are based upon is the Space Temperature being between the Upper and Lower Deadband. Typically, the Deadband is set at ±2 degrees of the Target Temperature. The Area that is highlighted below with the Box indicates the amount of time that the Freezer is within the Deadband range.

This Freezer would have a low Performance Rating.

Coil Temperature (Red) Space Temperature (Blue)

Target Temperature (Orange)

(12)

12 The Area highlighted above shows that this Freezer is operating more consistently within the Deadband range, which is Target Temperature ±2 degrees.

In the Upper Right-hand corner of the History Graph are 3 Horizontal Bars, if you click on this location it will give you a drop-down box. The Drop-down box will allow you to save the last 7 days of Data to an excel file (Download CSV), Download the image as a PNG File that can be used in Microsoft Paint, and the third option is Download PDF document (Download the image into a PDF format Document).
