Prayer For Babies in Their Mother’s Womb O God of all creation, Nurture & protect tiny children

& keep them safe in the sanctuary of their mother’s womb. As You so wondrously form their hearts &

minds & lungs & souls, so strengthen our will to lovingly nurture & protect them. Give us the eyes to see them as our brothers & sisters, the minds to welcome them as our own, & the faith to defend them as Your children. We ask this through the intercession of Mary, our Blessed Mother, & the mother of all the little ones, through Christ, Your Son, our Lord. Amen.

PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS… Dear Holy Spirit, Please help those who hear your call only as a whisper, that they may know that it is You calling them to service. May You fill those you call with the grace and courage to respond to Your whisper. I will pray, encourage and support those whom You have chosen for priestly vocations and consecrated religious. Amen

MISSION STATEMENT: St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catho- lic Church is a faith filled community centered in the Eucharist.

We are seeking to learn and live the Gospel through our service to our parish community and all of God's people. We strive to be faithful stewards of the gifts God has entrusted to us, as we con- tinue to grow, educate, and proclaim the great works of the Lord.

NEW PARISHIONERS: Please contact the rectory to register as members of our parish family. We hope you will find a loving Christian community here. Letters of recommendation can be given to members who are in good standing and have been formally registered in the parish for three months.

Faith Moment Reflection

Today’s scripture tells us of Paul and Barnabas travelling from city to city

preaching the gospel and "opening the door of faith" for new disciples. Paul & Barnabas encouraged their new disciples to build their faith, telling them that, although they may face hardships along the way, God would be with them. They would persevere. What this tells us is that entering a faith community marks only the beginning of our faith journey. Being true to our faith & our beliefs through words and actions is not always easy.

Modern society tolerates our faith, but often does not support it.

And frequently our own bad habits get in the way. But we, too,

can trust that God will help us. Like the early disciples, we must

persevere in our dedication to our faith, despite the obstacles we

may face. We are invited to enter the door to a new, stronger faith

and, through it, to continually grow in love for God and one

another. Today's Faith Moment was provided by Christ the King

Seminary. You can listen to Faith Moments on WBEN radio 930

AM, WLOF 101.7 FM, or at www.faithmomentsonline.org.
