MERVE DARICI

Summary

I was born in March 1986. My Father was a doctor and my mother is a nurse. I have one older brother. I graduated from ÇEAŞ Anatolian High School (2004), Food Engineering Department (2008) from Cukurova University and Master of Science Program at Food Engineering Department (2011) in Cukurova University. I attended to Erasmus exchange student program in 2007 and went to Linköping University in Sweden for one semester. MSc Thesis was about characterization of aroma composition of rose wines from a native variety of Calkarasi grown in different vineyard altitude of Denizli province in Turkey. While I am in Master of Science Program, I also attended to Erasmus Mobility Program in 2010 and went to Zaragoza University (Spain) for working on wine aroma and method techniques at Laboratory for Flavor Analysis and Enology under supervision of Prof. Dr. Vicente Ferreira and Dr. Ricardo Lopez. Since 2011, I have been doing a PhD in the Department of Food Engineering as research assistance under supervision of Prof. Dr. Turgut Cabaroğlu in Cukurova University. My research interest are flavor compounds, wine chemistry and technology, sensory evaluation and olfactory studies. I like riding bicycle and playing tennis and I also like to go theater.
