REGISTRATION AND GENERAL
Before getting started
Please read the following in order to understand the process of Course Registration:

A
subject
has at least one or more
subject elements:
Lectures, practices, or both in every semester when the subject is
being taught.
•
Departments and institutes have to announce their
courses
in the ETR every semester.
•
A
course
has one or more
course codes
which indicate(s) the training program, subject and group number.
Training program code:
AOKA: English program, non-credit system
AOK-KA: English Program, credit system
AOK-KN: German Program, credit system
FOG-KA: Dentistry Program, credit system
GYTKKA: Pharmacy Program, credit system

Note that you have to sign up for those
practical
courses that have been announced for your group! Before you
start registering for the new courses, please, check your grades for the earlier semesters! Certain courses can only
be signed up for if a precondition (subject requirement) has been met or an earlier module has been completed.
•
Parallel precondition
: Several subject elements have parallel subject elements. A lecture subject element has a parallel
practice subject element. One has to attend these courses parallely, which means that both courses have to be completed in
order to acquire the credit. Your course registration will only be complete if you signed up for both courses!

ETR gives you the opportunity to check personal and academic information on you stored currently in the system, to keep contact with teachers and other students, and to sign
up for your courses and exams.
In order to connect to the ETR, a Student ID has to be created. To create your student ID, please follow the following steps on the next pages. You need to use your personal
data to register yourself in the system. Please note that the data you use for the registration must be compund with the your data stored in the ETR. Use the data
indicated on your matriculation form. ”ETR registration”
Be very careful and keep your password in secret. Someone may misuse your password, get at your data and register or de-register you for a course or an exam. Change your password immediately if you suppose that
someone knows it!
Everybody must register her/himself individually. Please note that it is forbidden to register someone else!
In case you connect ETR from a public workstation, please log out after you have finished and close all the windows you have
opened. It is necessary to prevent misuse. ”Important!”

If a grade is missing from 2005-06/2 and 2006-07/1 semesters contact the department concerned to record your
grade in the system. Green: you have
