So you’re thinking about post-secondary education.
Smart idea.
The next step is making a smart choice.
You probably already know not all post-secondary
experiences are created equal. Some get you a line
on your resumé; others set you on your career
path. Wise students choose the latter.
At SAIT Polytechnic, students know they’re training
for in-demand careers in Business, Technology
and Trades, getting hands-on education on
state-of-the-art equipment from dedicated instructors.
SAIT students enjoy a modern, newly expanded
main campus designed with student life and
learning in mind. And when they’ve completed
their studies, our alumni also enjoy some of the
best grad employment rates around — 94 per cent.*
Sounds pretty smart, doesn’t it?

A+ EMPLOYMENT RATES
Before they’ve even crossed the convocation
stage, many SAIT students know where they’ll
be working after graduation. That’s because
employers recruit SAIT’s in-demand grads
while they’re still students. And each year,
more and more employers vie for one of the
coveted booths at Career Directions, SAIT’s
student career fair, for the opportunity to
recruit industry-ready SAIT students. Last
year’s fair saw over 150 employers recruiting
at SAIT Polytechnic.
The employment rate for our 2014 graduating
class was 94 per cent. Enrolling in a SAIT
program means our grads are miles ahead
on their career path.
Smart.
AT HOME IN THE
LABORATORY
At SAIT Polytechnic, our Architectural
Technologies and Civil Engineering Technology
students learn about home design from the
floorboards up, constructing real houses in our
indoor home building lab as well as studying
computer-aided design and drafting. It’s just
one of many SAIT classrooms designed to provide
students with real-world learning experiences.
From healthcare simulation labs complete
with manikins who breathe and give birth, to
an award-winning fine dining restaurant and
a worldclass drilling simulation lab, SAIT’s
classrooms provide hands-on experience to
ensure our students are ready to hit the
ground running when they graduate.
Smart.

EXPERTS AT THE
HEAD OF THE CLASS
SAIT Polytechnic’s focus on real-world skills
extends from the instructors we hire to the
applied research projects we provide. Many
of our instructors are seasoned industry
professionals who’ve worked in the occupation
you’re training for. They have the inside track
on industry, and are as passionate about
teaching as they are about sharing their
professional insights with students.
To ensure students make the most of these
classroom experts, SAIT keeps class sizes
small, providing plenty of opportunity for
one-on-one interactions. This means our
instructors know their students and are
invested in their success.
SAIT’s Applied Research and Innovation
Services (ARIS) connect students with industry
partners to work together on real-world
projects. Working with our team of researchers,
students apply their education, gain hands-on
industry-based experience, and do relevant
work that is impressive on a resumé.
Smart.

SAIT Polytechnic students know that life
after class is an important part of the
post-secondary experience. Our campus,

dining options, a gymnasium, soccer field,
the Wellness Centre, and a campus venue
renowned for drawing the hottest music acts.
Our active campus community is home to

Alberta College Athletic Conference and home
games draw a big crowd.
SAIT offers financial, academic and health and
wellness support to maximize student success.
The Chinook Lodge Aboriginal Resource Centre
is a gathering place open to all while dedicated
to supporting success among First Nations,
Inuit and Métis students.
SAIT’s urban main campus provides a
multitude of gathering spaces and a beautiful
environment in which to learn and socialize.
And at the end of the day, our students can get
home easily via the on-campus C-train line, or
