Description: Large, active cemetery divided into upper/old section and lower/new sections. Upper section contains over 1000 old & new markers. Single-lane paved road winds through this section. Newest markers on eastern terraced hillside.

Comments: Separate lower section contains burials 1939 to present. Located 1/4 mile east of older section & is accessible from Baltimore Rd. 500+ burials in lower section. Cemetery began as Anglican churchyard. Non-sectarian association took it over in 1880.

Description: Located next to Old St. John the Evangelist Church & the Carroll Chapel replica. One paved driveway, numerous shrubs & trees. Carved headstones, some larger family markers. Loose grid plan. Oldest area enclosed in black iron fence.

Comments: New section after 1970s has markers flush to ground with paved pathways. Some family plots fenced. Small chapel in center of cemetery.

Description: Active, well kept. 160 x 152' surrounded by a fence that is in need of repair. Most stones from 1960s-80s. Oldest appears to be 1919 infant. A number of infant deaths; some family groups. Access by paved driveway - 2nd drive on Briardale from Redland

Comments: Located on a hill with 1 cedar tree. Gravel road used to continue into cemetery. Wooded around all boundaries. Room for expansion.

Comments: Church erected in 1893. Community was also called Blocktown.

Description: Large, active, well-maintained cemetery associated with St. Mary's Church at Veirs Mill/Rockville Pike. Surrounded by chain-link fence; entrance is marked by an arched gateway and stone pillars. Single lane gravel road loops through cemetery.

Comments: Markers in upper portion are old & new; lower portion relatively new. Separate alcove for African Americans on hill with 15 markers, some handmade of wood. Low wall encloses area for infant & child graves on eastern edge

Comments: Church built in 1817. Famous interment: F. Scott Fitzgerald & wife Zelda were moved here from Rockville Cemetery in 1975, daughter Scottie buried in 1986

Comments: Former names of church: Sugarland Forest ME Church (1871), Curtisville ME (1880), Taylor's Chapel (1890). Burials date to last quarter of 19th century, but 1905 was oldest found.

Comments: Church built in 1838. Cemetery blessed in 1847. One stone in front of church is that of a Confederate soldier.

Description: Located .2 miles from Damascus Road up gravel driveway through two farm fields. On top of a small rise by the edge of woods. Approximately 1 1/2 acres with 2 walnut trees, 1 locust tree & bushes. Oldest stones closest to forest.

Comments: Three gravemarkers located separately - about 100 yards south of other graves. According to Barbers Funeral Home, started as burial ground for people who had moved from Tennessee. Interees must be Tennessee native or descendant of Tennessee native.

Comments: Church is located across Clopper Road from cemetery. It is supposed to maintain cemetery. Sign says cemetery established in 1866 and restored by Boy Scouts in 1998 and 2003

Description: Ten stones located - all uncarved fieldstones except 1 broken hand-carved marker. Cleanup in 1990 and interest then from surrounding community in erecting memorial. About 50 depressions, 3 marble markers, and church foundations were found then.

Comments: Church built in 1870s and in use through 1920s but no longer extant. See articles in file.
