PS – File > Browse in Mini-Bridge•
Right-click/double-click NM_2011_08_12-2.CR2 to open in ACR•
This will have the cumulative edits from previous ACR sessions stored in NM_2011_08_12-2.xmp sidecar file in same directory•
C:\Users\Doug_2\Pictures\NM_2011_08_12\•
In LR these are in history via catalog and can be seen•
Notice clipping warnings, red & blue, more later•
Make some edits in ACR•
Close ACR•
Open ACR, notice the edits are still there•
Close ACR•
Rename the .xmp file•
Open ACR, the edits are gone•
Close ACR•
Rename .xmp file and open again, edits are back•
Notice the tabs beneath Histogram, these map closely to the options in the “Develop” module inLRBasic Tone Curve Detail

my work flow as it influences what I do in Basic

Use one of the selection tools to outline area to remove•
Can add and subtract from selection•
Can save selection•
Can reselect last selection if still in session•
Edit -> Fill – Content Aware•
Clone stamp can be used here too•
Ctrl (0) to resize•
Use Quick Select Brush to select the sky•
Save the Selection•
Layers -> New Adjustment Layer -> levels, use previous layer to create clipping mask•
Open Layers window, notice the black & white areas•
Black is masked and will not be affected by levels adjustment•
Adjust levels for sky•
Click the levels eyeball to turn preview on and offPS Editor

Remove phone wires, phone poles and trash
•
Click the background layer•
Use Ctrl (+) to expand•
Use spacebar and mouse to reposition•
Select Spot Healing Brush Tool•
Use [ ] to size brush•
Brush phone wires and phone poles•
Can use Ctrl (Z) and Ctrl (Y) to toggle brush strokes•
Click pointer tool when done•
Ctrl (0) to resize•
Image -> Image Size (12x8)

Click Clear if there are dimensions already set•
Click checkmark when done•
Sharpen w/Unsharp Mask

Click pointer tool•
Right-click background layer and duplicate•
Name Unsharp•
Click Unsharp layer•
Ctrl (+) to expand•
Filter->Sharpen – Unsharp•
Adjust sliders•
Check and uncheck preview•
Click OK when done•
Click eye on Unsharp layer to toggle•
Ctrl (0) to resize•
Click eye on Unsharp layer to togglePS Editor
