Welcome to IGS-RH international world !

Dublin is one of the nicest cities for students in the world. Located right in the center of Dublin, the building has a long history as it was the house of Oscar Wilde in his childhood. TESTIMONY

« The Dublin professional international experience

This exciting and enriching two week stay in Eire’s capital city gives our students their first international experience as HR trainees. During this time they have the opportunity to visit Dublin’s business world and meet HR managers from various local and international companies to obtain their opinions on current HR topics. Our students live and study within an international environment while they are in Dublin which enables them to improve their level of English. They also have time to explore Dublin’s history and experience the local culture.”

Diane THOMAS, Dublin Coordinator

TESTIMONY

“During our international experience in Dublin, we discovered many things : a new culture, a new way of thinking
And of course its various symbols
What would Ireland be without its shamrock, its harp as coat of arms, its beautiful Christmas decorations, happiness of the Irish people and of course the famous Celtic dancers. While in Ireland, we could not miss such a show. We went in a hotel of the city center and we watched the Celtic singers and dancers performing in their traditional outfits. We are sure it will remain a pleasant memory of our trip to Ireland.”

TESTIMONY

“Finland is one of the best European places to go to get a real international experience. This is a way to discover a very different culture and a new language as well. Furthermore the coldness leaves space for wonderful landscapes that will be never seen in other places. JyvĂ€skylĂ€ is presented as a student city so there are always opportunities to meet other people from our age and even from different countries and of course to have fun. The Finns are well considered on the job market so studying in Finland will be well perceived by employers, especially if you want to deal with international matters in the future.”

TESTIMONY

«With an extensive international background, having studied and worked in 3 different continents, I found myself working for the second largest telecommunications company in the world, Vodafone. Being responsible for the strategy and selection processes of the handsets and tablets global portfolio, while learning and gaining experiences in the marketing area, I always looked forward to focus my manager skills in the human capital of the companies. My path towards HR started a few years ago, when I started my formation as a corporate and executive coach, enlarging my knowledge in personal development and career management. My next step was to continue my professional formation studies with a specialised master that would not only give me the theory basis but also had a practical focus. IGS-RH/ UC3M was the program that met my criteria the most. Courseworks satisfie all my needs and include the right level of practice-orientation that will get me back on my feet in the laboral world, once I finish the course.“

“Companies need Human Resources managers who are able to recruit international talent, implement processes in many different countries (international mobility, learning and development
) and understand diversity and multicultural environments.

In addition to the challenges specific to Human Resources, companies need HR managers who are able to understand business strategy and manage global change. Human Resources managers with a global outlook are very much in demand, and a good command of English is essential for all employers. Whether your enterprise is local or global – located in France or in Poland – being able to work efficiently in English will greatly increase your professional opportunities and career potential!”

Isabelle MICHEL MAGYAR

Global Human Resources Employees Engagement & Diversity VP SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC

“My experience in China was a real career-booster. It helped me to grow and mature and to learn to be open to different cultures, work habits and management systems. As an overseas employee, it can actually be easier to get job postings with responsibility and to move ahead quickly.

Each time I returned to France, I was sought-after by headhunters in spite of the difficult job market. Today, many large companies require international experience for the top jobs. As an HR manager, I see that candidates with international experience are adaptable, able to work independently and ready to take the initiative.”

Julie HERREMAN (Alumni 2003) HR Director Sandro

« The world is globalized and digitized; borders are increasingly irrelevant and companies are growing faster in Latin America and Asia than in Europe, which is more mature. Success in this environment requires a taste for adventure. The decision to accept an expatriation offer means leaving behind family, friends and a familiar environment; this is easier in theory than in practice. My decision to accept an offer in New York meant personal sacrifice, but I would do it again without hesitating”

Jérémy MAILLY (Alumni 2003), HR Director France Bel

“Over the next few years, companies wishing to remain competitive can’t afford to limit themselves to the domestic market. This is a real challenge for future HR managers who will need to take into consideration employees of different cultures and value systems. Many CEO’s and shareholders are beginning to integrate these factors into their strategy; they understand that they will need the best teams and top talent in order to compete”

Nathalie GATEAU, HR Group Director EURO MEDIA

(9)

“I chose the IGS 5 International Program because all coursework is in English and to be exposed to a more internationally focused HR program. My semester in London introduced me to the UK educational system and gave me the experience of cultural immersion in the university system and the opportunity to share housing with students from all over the world. It was a fantastic, rich and very interesting experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat”

HélÚne CADOUDAL,

student 2015 & HR Projects intern EURO MEDIA Group

“I chose the IGSRH’s international program with the conviction that Human Resources must have a crucial role in the globalization today. Each student who would like to access at top management in this field will find essential assets in this double experience: open minded, global business culture, proficiency in professional English, critical basis in HR strategy. Having two diplomas internationally recognized and the creation of an international network are also worthy elements on the labor market. The double degree LSBU - IGS helped me to gain the confidence, knowledge and tools necessary to succeed in my international HR mission. I was recruited as an intern at Orange thanks to my legal profile, maintained at IGS-RH, and my experience in London at LSBU. As an International mobility Coordinator, I had the opportunity to work on a very versatile craft, and I found in practice a lot of themes I have studied during my Master. At the end of my internship, I joined Accenture International Mobility teams and worked worldwide to align mobility procedures with global business objectives. Then I decided to join SociĂ©tĂ© GĂ©nĂ©rale Bank as a VIE for a generalist mission in Belgrade, Serbia, including career & skill development, HR strategies implementation and work-life balance management. This is a great opportunity to expand my competencies in different HR fields, still at an international level.“

Dimitri PACAIL,

Alumni 2014, HR Business Partner SOCIETE GENERALE Serbie.

“I studied HR at IGSRH for 2 years and found the international program particularly relevant for its strategic dimension. This program is a requirement for all future HR managers. The high standards of teaching - with speakers such as Bruno Carlier (Group Head of Compensation and Benefits BNP Paribas 1996 to 2009) – provide students with credentials to successfully compete in a global labour market. I was hired in London for a permanent contract as Reward Analyst at Mclagan right after my internship there. Mclagan (Aon Hewitt group) is the leading Performance/ Reward consulting and benchmarking firm for the financial industry. I now work closely with the French financial services firms globally delivering fact-based advice for the business and HR functions.”
