Gayathri returned to Chennai in 2003 and is the Managing Director of UCAL, an auto component tier one major in India.

Gayathri has received two masters degrees in education and English from Carnegie Mellon University, PA and Rider University, NJ. She commenced her professional journey as a teacher of English at the highly prestigious Lawrenceville Preparatory School, NJ and has consequently earned her laurels as a reputed educator as head of department in the US public school systems in New Jersey and Texas.

Gayathri has a daughter Nivedita (Grade 12) at AISC.

John Fleming arrived in Chennai in the summer of 2014 as the Principal Commercial Officer at the U.S. Consulate, Chennai. In this capacity, he will manage the U.S. Commercial Service Offices in Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.

John has a B.S. from the University of Maryland, an MBA from Katholoeke Universiteit in Belgium and an M.A. in International Relations from Boston University.

His wife Solange is from Belgium and they have three children: two sons, Jordan and Evan, who are studying in the United States and one daughter, Hana (Grade 5) at AISC.

Mani Chacko – Treasurer

Mani Chacko is a management consultant with over 15 years of experience working with senior executives at some of the world’s largest organizations. Mani has worked in China, India, UK, and the USA. His areas of expertise include best- practice identification, financial planning, and legal and regulatory compliance.

Mani has a Ph.D. and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan Business School, Ann Arbor, an M.A. in Economics from Brown University, and a B.A. in Economics from Loyola College, University of Madras.

His wife Arathi and he have two children Anjan (Grade 9) and Samira (Grade 5) at AISC.

Dave Wallack – Elected

Dave Wallack is the Chief Design Officer and Executive Director of IFMR Rural Finance (ruralfinance.ifmr.co.in) and a Trustee of IFMR Trust (IFMR.co.in). Before coming to India, he was a political campaign operative and consultant in the United States working with Democratic Party candidates at the federal and state-wide level as well as numerous national advocacy groups. Dave earned his MBA from Stanford University, completed graduate work at Georgetown University in Demography, and completed his undergraduate study at the University of Florida. Dave has been living in Chennai since 2007.

He has a son Cyrus (Grade 2) at AISC.

Bappaditya Banerjee

Bappa arrived in Chennai in 2012 and works as the Product Manager for Off Highway Trucks and Wheel Tractor Scrapers for the Caterpillar Hauling and Extraction Division.

He joined Caterpillar in 2001 and along his Leadership journey with Caterpillar Inc., has worked in Mergers and Acquisitions, Start Ups, Turn Arounds, Growth and Mature organizations across 5 countries (China, India, Japan, Singapore and US).

Bappa has an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago and PhD. In Mechanical from Purdue University.

His wife Shilpi and he have two children Sohum (Grade 6) and Shivum (Grade 4) at AISC.

Josh Foulger – Nominated

Josh Foulger is the President of Nokia SEZ and the Director of Nokia India Operations. He has 17 years of international career in Nokia, in world-wide factory operations, and supply chain in Brazil, India, USA, and Vietnam. Josh has a MS degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. He has been living in Chennai for the past 26 years.

His wife Anita and he have two children Kaitlyn (Grade 9) and Gracelyn (Grade 5) at AISC.

Rich Roesing – Appointed

Rich Roesing arrived in Chennai in late summer 2015 to be the Management Officer (Administrative Director) at the U.S. Consulate. In an overseas career spanning over two decades, he has worked in Guinea, Moldova, Canada, Nigeria, Lebanon, Croatia, Kosovo, and Bulgaria. He has been in the U.S. Foreign Service since 2004. He was previously on the board of directors of the American International School of Conakry. He has an MBA from the University of Maine and a BA from the University of Scranton. A native Pennsylvanian, Rich is here with his wife Ksenia, who is originally from the Republic of Moldova.

Shanthi Giridhar – Nominated

Shanti returned to Chennai in January 2013. She has a BA in Commerce from Madras University and Chartered Accountancy from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Shanthi has worked with Ernst & Young (Middle East practice, Zimbabwe and Ghana) as Manager and Senior Manager from 1994 to 2001. Prior to that she was the Deputy Manager with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited in India for six years. Currently she is self-employed and handles investments for a small portfolio including two trusts.

Her husband Srinivasaraghava and she have two children Prahalad (Grade 8) and Amrita (Grade 4) at AISC.
