COMMUNITY SCHOOL SOCIAL WORK SITE SUPERVISOR
Partnership with Children works with public schools in New York City’s highest-‐need communities to provide critical social and emotional supports for the hardest-‐to-‐reach youth and to systematically build schools that are safe, successful and conducive to learning. Site Supervisors engage in direct practice while also supervising staff. Site Supervisors are the lead supervisors for Partnership staff in the school building and work closely with school leadership. Each Site Supervisor has the support of a supervisor on a regular basis.
Responsibilities:
Direct practice:
• Provide individual counseling, crisis counseling and case management • Facilitate large and small group counseling (individually or with co-‐facilitator)
• Attend all school-‐based meetings (e.g. with Pupil Personnel Team, School Leadership Team, Community School Team) and school-‐wide events
• Collaborate with school administration and staff on needs of students, families and school community • Integrate into and engage with school culture through development of positive relationships with school
community
• Conduct parent workshops and teacher staff development sessions • Conduct home visits
• Support students and families in crisis
Staff supervision:
• Conduct weekly structured supervision of social worker and/or interns and weekly staff meetings • Ensure all case notes, bio psycho-‐socials and goal plans are completed and of high quality • Develop direct reports to improve their practice
• Model development and maintenance of key collaborative relationships • Ensure data collection is timely and accurate
Site Leadership:
• Ensure that the Partnership with Children program is implemented with fidelity to the model • Collaborate with Community School Director
• Work closely with principal to develop, implement and strengthen systems to prevent crisis • Develop and implement Memorandum of Understanding and workplans to guide work Qualifications:
• Must possess a LMSW or LCSW
• SIFI certification required with at least three years experience supervising social work interns
• At least one year’s experience in school setting, strong experience working with students and families • Work with fidelity to model while also being able to implement model according to specific school needs • Interest in and comfort with working with data to inform practice
• Act as lead Partnership with Children representative at the school and have ability and interest in being the face of Partnership with Children within the school building
• Ability to work in fast-‐paced environment, flexible with a can-‐do attitude • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
• Hours:
• Full-‐time, occasional weeknight and Saturday hours • Year-‐round position (summer location and duties will vary) Salary and Benefits:

JOB POSTING PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Partnership with Children works with public schools in New York City’s highest-‐need communities to provide critical social and emotional supports for the hardest-‐to-‐reach youth and to systematically build schools that are safe, successful and conducive to learning. Program Directors are responsible for program management and leadership of social work staff at 10-‐15 schools.
Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical supervision and management/leadership coaching to Site Directors who are responsible for leading staff of 5 schools
• Model and train in best practices for training and implementing individual and group counseling, case management
• Provide support and direction to social work supervisors during crisis situations with students/families and schools
• Assess strengths and challenges of each school to assist Site Directors in work plan development and implementation
• Use data to monitor and improve program quality and make programmatic decisions
• Monitor program fidelity and provide suggestions on implementing improvements to program model • Troubleshoot challenges with stakeholders including school administrators
• Monitor and manage contracts, budgets, Memoranda of Understanding and workplans • Ensure the program is fully staffed
• Provide leadership presence to staff and stakeholders Qualifications:
• Licensed as LCSW in New York State with SIFI certification • At least 10 years experience post-‐MSW
• At least 6 years experience in a supervisor role • Strong knowledge of school as setting for social work
• Exceptional leadership, managerial, supervisory and staff development skills
• Excellent clinical skills (including individual and group counseling) and ability to develop clinical skills in others
• Superior engagement, communication and presentation skills with multiple stakeholders including principals and parents
• Strong case management skills and knowledge of community resources and systems
• Ability to help staff develop interdisciplinary teams and systems and procedures to prevent crisis • Outstanding collaborator and consensus builder
• Flexible, multi-‐tasker who can handle multiple priorities • Comfort working with elementary, middle and high schools • Strong commitment to personal and professional development
• Ability and willingness to regularly travel to schools in 5 boroughs (by car or public transportation)

• Develop direct reports to improve their clinical and supervisory practice, and their management and leadership skills • Provide clinical supervision and serve as a guide during crisis situations with children and youth
• Model development and maintenance of key collaborative relationships including school principal, school staff and parents
• Ensure that the Partnership with Children program is implemented with fidelity to the model
• Develop staff’s ability to integrate into and engage with school culture through fostering positive relationships with school community
• Direct the development of annual work plans and goals. Monitor progress and negotiate changes with stakeholders • Ensure administrative records and data collection are timely and high quality
• Use data to monitor and improve program quality and make programmatic decisions Qualifications:
• Licensed as LCSW in New York State with SIFI certification
• At least 8 years experience as MSW and at least 4 years experience as supervisor or manager
