have developed.
We help consumers upload over three billion photos to social networking sites every month, and 300 million consumers use mobile services delivered by our technology. Choose a career at Accenture, and you’re choosing a company that can help you achieve your goals. Whatever they may be.

We work with Australia’s most innovative organisations across all sectors, including banking, insurance, healthcare, mining, retail, communications, media, and government. As a graduate, this means endless opportunities for you to develop and to expand your skills and knowledge. Regardless of where you work within our business, you will have the opportunity to work for

solution to a problem – just about any problem.
Extraordinary ideas. Extraordinary careers.
Accenture is the world’s leading management consulting, technology
services and outsourcing company.
Our consultants are trained to see what others don’t.
They are invited into many of the world’s leading companies and
government agencies where - drawing on deep technology expertise and
industry-specific insights - they look for what could be done better. Or
more cost effectively. Or more quickly.
Consulting is all about understanding our clients’ needs - and fulfilling
these needs - whatever they may be.
We provide world-class thinking and strategic recommendations that
help our clients work more efficiently and effectively. We help our clients
solve specific human resources, customer management, operational or
technology problems. We uncover problem areas and give our clients
solutions to resolve them, to help them become high performance
businesses and organisations.
As well as providing solid strategic advice, we have the expertise and
capabilities to implement solutions for our clients, and manage them
on an ongoing basis. This is something that differentiates us from
our competitors, and is one of the reasons we’re able to achieve such
outstanding results the world over.
What is consulting?
Before joining Accenture, Yvonne lived in six different countries. Her background gave her an innate passion for travel and for exploring new places - an important consideration when she chose Accenture as a graduate. “I don’t think I could stay in the same place
for too long, and Accenture gives me that option,” she says.
Since being with the company a year and a half, Yvonne has already travelled to Chicago for an initial training session and speaks very highly of the experience. “Accenture has a fantastic reputation for developing talent. Its well-known global presence creates many opportunities worldwide and an opportunity to meet and work with different cultures.” From a young age, Yvonne enjoyed mathematics and was “good at numbers” - a skill she has been able to put into practice at Accenture. Recently she worked on a project for an Australian-based global mining company, analysing their current loans and cash management structure.
“Accenture is great, especially if you want to learn and expand your skills,” she says.
A self-confessed soccer fanatic, Michael plays at least four times a week - and says Accenture’s respect for work-life balance is very important to him. “That’s a great thing about Accenture: they sometimes allow me to leave a bit early to attend training and provide flexible work arrangements,” he says. Since joining Accenture as an Analyst, Michael has been promoted to Consultant, and his latest project involves helping a telecommunications client with implementing new financial and procurement software. On a day-to-day basis, he works with key stakeholders and clients to help manage change within their business, and to ensure that key projects are being implemented successfully.
Michael says he chose Accenture because of the opportunities the company offers – both in terms of building a long-term career, and for travelling and working abroad.
He also loves Accenture’s global culture and connectedness, and says he has had the opportunity to understand different working styles and learn from the best people from Australia and around the globe.
Meet Hamdam
When Hamdam was growing up, her idea of the perfect career was forever changing. She wanted to be an architect, a doctor, and even a radiologist.
Today, she’s a Business Analyst with Accenture’s Technology Consulting team, and in many ways, her diverse childhood career ambitions make her a great fit for the Accenture team - where the work she does, and the clients she works with are incredibly varied.
“I chose Accenture because I believed it would offer me the broadest and most relevant set of skills across multiple industries and form a solid foundation for my career in consulting,” she says.
While much of the information she learnt in her degree has been valuable, she says there’s an incredible amount of exciting, on-the-job learning at Accenture.
“The graduate program offers great opportunities to develop key skills for your career, as well as excellent training opportunities.”
Meet Tim
While busily completing a Bachelor of Business Information Systems degree, Tim started a dance group with some uni friends. They sought sponsors, and went on to give performances to students and faculty. This entrepreneurial initiative and determination is definitely something Tim has brought with him to Accenture.
Recently, Tim worked on a Customer Relationship Management project where he was responsible for understanding the client’s specific needs and then translating these into a logical and workable solution. On a daily basis Tim also liaises with expert resources from within Accenture’s global network to ensure projects are successfully delivered. He says the work is both diverse and interesting.
Tim sees Accenture as an incredible learning experience and a long-term career. “For me, one of the best things about Accenture is the ongoing training and mentoring that we have access to,” he says. “We get to work on a huge variety of projects – for some of the world’s best companies, and Accenture gives us plenty of specific, on-the-job training that helps us prepare for every situation.”
Technology Consulting
Technology Consultants analyse client processes, people and systems before developing and delivering a solution that achieves the right results for their clients. They could be experts in any number of different areas of technology – from strategy to infrastructure – but whatever their skill, they’ll always be working at the forefront of innovation, transforming the way business, governments and communities operate around the world.Management Consulting
Our consultants focus on helping clients to address their business issues. That means looking at organisational change, business transformation and long-term strategy. They could be working in Sales & Customer Service, Finance & Enterprise Performance, Talent & Organisation, Operations or many other areas. Wherever they work, it’s not simply about having great insights and ideas; it’s about making recommendations and driving tangible outcomes for our clients.Outsourcing
Accenture enables high performance through outsourcing management. Our experience and global capabilities make us a world leader in application outsourcing, Infrastructure Outsourcing, Business Process Outsourcing and bundled outsourcing. Accenture’s global outsourcing services touch every industry and business process. We transform our clients’ operations, making them smarter, faster and more efficient, and work with visionary organisations to define innovations in strategic outsourcing.
Here at Accenture, we provide the career path, you provide the
direction. We offer three main career directions – all of which require
particular skills and approach. They are:
Business challenge
With nearly 3,700 properties in 70 countries, Marriott wanted to expand the breadth and depth of their online customer experience.
How Accenture helped
To realise its full potential, Marriott teamed with Accenture to reinvent Marriott.com and other supporting systems into a platform to present, distribute and maintain content in multiple languages.
High performance. Delivered.
We helped Marriott implement a platform that supports nine websites in seven languages. As a result, these new websites are on target to exceed $7 billion in sales in 2011, making Marriott.com one of the top 10 retail websites in the world. As Marriott’s fastest-growing customer interaction channel, the Marriott.com platform extends the guest experience beyond the Internet to multiple touch points, reinforcing the corporate brand and services as well as the company’s business goals and strategic marketing capabilities.
“This project has enabled Marriott to reach more potential customers and interact with them in their language of choice. With the new platform, we have developed the capabilities to deliver a comprehensive experience for our customers that goes well beyond booking a reservation. Our strategy is one that we believe will create better long-term value for our customers and Marriott.” Mike Keppler, Senior Vice President, Global Sales, Marketing & revenue Management

Amazing results come from amazing people
As a graduate, you get support the moment you become part of our team. For a start, you’ll become part of our New Joiner Orientation Program which introduces you to our global network and gives you a great overview of our business and what it’s like to work here.
Then over time, as your skills and knowledge expand, you’ll also have the opportunity to attend classroom-based courses. This means we give you time out of your working week to visit our regional centres, so you can focus on learning and fine-tuning your capabilities.
At any time, we also give you access to two great online resources. The first is MyLearning - our innovative global learning portal. Here, you’ll find over 20,000 virtual classroom courses and other learning resources. The second is the Accenture Knowledge Exchange, a global ‘encyclopedia’ that will help you research concepts, and develop best-practice solutions.
You’ll also have access to a career counsellor who will guide you, check your progress, and help you achieve your goals. Plus, you’ll receive formal annual reviews in which your performance is appraised and where reward and promotion recommendations are made.
A lot of your learning will be done in the workplace: whether you’re running a client meeting, coding a new application or producing a project plan, experience is the best teacher. When you are deployed to projects, a workplace mentor will monitor and support your development on the job. The encouragement and opportunities for personal and professional development are truly exceptional at Accenture, but it’s up to you to make it happen. Ultimately, you’re in control of your career.
At Accenture, we believe everything starts and ends with our people.

that our people have for solving our clients’ business and
technology problems.

you are prepared to challenge yourself and take advantage of the
opportunities that are out there. This is something that Accenture
offers that others don’t.”

Hello from Germany,
I am currently working on an Accenture Development
Project (ADP) with World Vision. Originally based
in Brisbane, working on ADP has given me the
opportunity to pursue my passion for giving back,
whilst continuing to build a career with Accenture.
My team is working on the Donor Management Project
targeting over 20 World Vision country head offices.
Accenture is a global company, but nothing I have
worked on has been as dynamically international
as the World Vision Donor Management project. The
small size of the core team, that almost all of us come
from different countries, and that we are rolling out to
three continents creates a veritable breeding ground for
cross-cultural lessons. Not only am I learning how to
operate with a multitude of communication styles, I am
also learning a lot about the working culture of places
all the way from Switzerland to the Philippines.
If this kind of variety and responsibility is what being
a consultant is all about, I’m sold!
Best,
Jason
