Dear Vanderbilt Traveler:

The Vanderbilt Alumni Association is pleased to invite you to take an extraordinary journey to Cuba – long the forbidden fruit of international travel. With cities Havana and Trinidad as our bases, Vanderbilt guests will be treated to the following:

Jane is a wealth of historical knowledge on Cuba as well as an engaging travel companion.

The program is specially designed to include not only extra time in Havana, certainly the cultural and spiritual center of Cuba, but also two nights in isolated Trinidad, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1988. Trinidad, replete with stunning colonial grace, is a splendid palet of ochre, blue and green houses with tiled roofs and wrought-iron gates as counterpoints. Narrow winding pebbled streets complete the perfect, charming ambiance.

We look forward to having you on this exciting journey to Cuba. Space is strictly limited, so please contact us immediately.

Sincerely,

Carroll Kimball, BA’84

“The only things that the United States has given to the world are

skyscrapers, jazz, and cocktails. That is all.

And in Cuba, in our America, they make much better cocktails.”
