The University of Bradford has a proud history as a research-active institution that stretches back almost half a century. Our students are taught by academics who are applying their knowledge to find solutions to problems through their ongoing research activities.

At the University of Bradford we have dedicated Open Days especially for school and college groups. If you are unable to make the Open Day dates, then we can often organise a special visit for your party.

As well as dedicated Open Days we are also able to arrange visits to particular academic areas or departments.

Taster Days

The University of Bradford offers a range of Taster Days and Masterclasses suitable for A Level, BTEC and Access students.

Taster Days are a chance to sample degree subjects before making final choices. They offer an opportunity to meet academic staff and tour the facilities, take part in activities, undertake tasks and experience mini-lectures. Taster Days provide an in-depth insight into the courses available at Bradford.

Student Conferences

A series of Student Conferences will be held on campus for Year 11 or Year 12 students who are considering continuing their studies into higher education. Our Student Conferences are a day of workshops focused around skills and academic development. Students will have the opportunity to increase their study skills and find out more about key academic areas.

The Recruitment and Outreach team are happy to provide information and advice on higher education issues.

These interactive events will provide your students with an excellent introduction to university and give them the opportunity to meet some of our current students and staff. A typical day includes:

Summer School

Monday 6 July to Friday 10 July 2015

This week-long summer school is for students who have applied to the University of Bradford, hold a firm offer to study here and meet one or more of our eligibility criteria*.

Successful completion of the Summer School will give students 30 UCAS points towards their University of Bradford course offer.

Our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) activities are specially designed for schools and colleges in the University’s STEM centre.
