The SR5500 generates accurate and repeatable channel impairments to determine device performance in real-world RF environments. C2K-ATS is a complete solution consisting of both hardware and software components. TestDrive II application software configures all system components, executes test procedures, collects test results, and generates reports. AirAccess 1xPLUS emulates an entire 1X and EV-DO network, including core network data components. The SR5500 Wireless Channel Emulator (with AWGN option) provides channel impairments allowing evaluation of real world performance characteristics in a lab environment. The Universal Diagnostic Monitor (UDM) automates the access terminal and adds thorough logging and control of 1X and EV-DO messaging and provides a useful debug/analysis tool.TeSTDRIVe II SOfTWARe
The heart of the C2K-ATS system is application-specific test executive software. TestDrive II software manages and runs test suites (software modules) designed for specific sets of test cases. Each test pack is designed to address a specific set of requirements and is based on a specific hardware configuration.TeST PACKS

COMPReHeNSIVe TeST ReSULTS
TestDrive SC takes the pain out of collecting, organizing, and formatting data into meaningful reports. Results are automatically stored using the Microsoft Jet database file format, the same format used by MS Access. This file format allows the use of high-level languages such as Visual Basic for post-processing analysis, trend analysis and historical tracking of a specific device. Once a suite of tests is run, analysis of results can begin a few mouse clicks later. TestDrive quickly processes raw results into a professional report in industry-standard formats such as, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, or Microsoft Word. Low-level messaging is automatically logged so if an issue arises, the process of investigation is already started. Based on the test case type, TestDrive II intelligently elects to log messages using the AirAccess message logging feature or Spirent’s innovative Universal Diagnostic Monitor (UDM). UDM allows automated control of mobile devices during testing, and also captures and logs message data from the device under test. Unlike chipset-specific diagnostic monitors, UDM uses a device-specific custom device driver allowing the application to access different brands and models of mobile devices. While TestDrive software manages the UDM automatically, UDM also comes with a user-friendly GUI, providing another tool to aid in the analysis of test results.
UNIVeRSAL DIAGNOSTIC MONITOR (UDM)
The Universal Diagnostic Monitor (UDM) enables rapid test configuration by automatically interrogating the network settings of the device under test and setting the corresponding test parameters. This greatly simplifies test setup by eliminating the need to manually enter mobile device settings such as NID, SID, Channel Number, and Band Class. UDM also captures the key mobile device identity data such as ESN, Model Name, Hardware Version, and Software Version used to label mobile device test results. In addition, testing may require run-time control of the mobile device under test. Using the UDM’s powerful software router, the executive software can automate mobile control. This eliminates the need for user intervention when placing mobile-originated calls, and significantly reduces test time. UDM can also monitor device performance, capturing both messaging and measurements. This full-featured diagnostic monitor displays real time mobile device performance parameters during test execution, resulting in complete closed-loop automation.
