The Higher Education Recruitment Consortium (HERC)

is a member-driven cooperative that provides technology and services to progressive

hiring professionals in higher education, research labs, and non-profits to help them

recruit and retain the most talented and diverse workforce possible.

HERC advances the ability of member institutions to recruit and retain the most diverse and talented workforce and to assist dual---career couples.

The Greater Chicago Midwest Higher Education Recruitment Consortium (GCM HERC) is a regional chapter of a national non-profit consortium of forward-looking colleges, universities, non-profit organizations, and research institutes all committed to gaining access to best, brightest, and most diverse applicant pools possible. Our members collaborate in dual-career hiring situations, and come together to learn leading-edge practices that keep their institutions compliant with new policies and hiring regulations. GCM HERC actively markets the midwest region to top-quality job seekers looking for faculty, staff, and executive positions.

There are 17 regional HERCs across the United States representing 27 states

and the District of Columbia. As of January 2015, HERC has over 2,000 human

resource, deans, provosts, and diversity professionals at over 600 institutions

actively engaged in the activities of the consortium.

Institutions with fewer than 1,000 FTE students (Tier I) $ 725 (full amount is $1,450) Institutions with 1,000---3,999 FTE students (Tier II) $1,575 (full amount is $3,150) Institutions with 4,000---9,999 FTE students (Tier III) $2,575 (full amount is $5,150) Institutions with 10,000 FTE students or over (Tier IV) $3,890 (full amount is $7,785)
