Gracious and loving God, we understand that You call us to be the stewards of Your

abundance, the caretakers of all You have entrusted to us.

Help us to use Your gifts wisely and inspire us to share them generously.

Guide our hearts and our minds as we, united in our love for Christ, re-establish and

preserve this parish as a Doorway to the Sacred.

Send the Holy Spirit to work through us, bringing Christ to those we serve.

May our faithful stewardship bear witness to the love of Christ in our lives.

This we pray with grateful hearts, through the intercession of St. Peter, in Jesus’ name.

Dear Family,

The Lord be with you. As you know, the community at St. Peter the Apostle is special. As a faith

community, we are not merely a collection of individuals who choose to gather together once a week, but a family of faith that follows Jesus Christ and seeks to do His will. While our community has many faces and many stories, St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church family has one heart, seeking Jesus in His greatest commandment: to love one another as He has loved us. It is this devotion to Christ’s calling that serves as the basis of our church, giving life to our incredible ministries, worship, school, outreach, and growth.

St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church is also a place. It’s a place that brings families, friends, strangers, members and visitors together to share the love of Christ. It’s a sacred place where people congregate to worship and grow closer to God.

Ours is a parish of incredible, exciting growth, with new ministries formed, new and young families joining every year, and new opportunities to find Christ present in His mystical church body. Over the last several months, a committee of parishioners and I have worked on a multi-phased plan designed to make sure our physical church grows along with our family of faith. Implementing this plan will ensure that our facilities remain the sacred, safe places of worship they are today for generations to come. As we prepare to embark on this journey, I ask you to prayerfully consider how you and your family can lend your support to this necessary and exciting next step for our parish family. If we are all willing to sacrifice, together we can achieve great things today and for years to come and ensure that St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church continues to serve as a Doorway to the Sacred.

Yours in Christ,

YESTERDAY & TODAY

St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church has served Fort Worth since 1949, providing a place for individuals and families to celebrate their encounter with Christ. St. Peter the Apostle has always been and continues to be a parish that, like Christ Himself, is alive and active in the community, bringing people together to rejoice, break bread and worship.

Today, St. Peter the Apostle enduring an enduring tradition of liveliness and activity. St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School now serves more than 120 students ages 3-14, and the parish is home to over 1,200 families and more than 30 active ministries. This tremendous growth has allowed St. Peter the Apostle to serve as a vehicle for Christ in impacting generations of families, something we can all be very proud of. This growth has also presented a fresh set of challenges and opportunities.

OUR PLAN FOR THE FUTURE

For the past 18 months, leaders in the St. Peter the Apostle community have undertaken a detailed study to determine the parish’s greatest needs. This study incorporated input from members at all levels of the St. Peter the Apostle parish community in executing focus groups, feasibility studies and financial forecasts. As a result of this exhaustive effort, we are pleased to announce the Doorway to the Sacred Capital Campaign. This

campaign identified an imminent need for improvements to the parish’s facilities.

THE PROJECT

Narthex Addition and Improvements

$1.1 million

St. Peter the Apostle needs an indoor space for parishioners to gather before and after Mass that is

separate from the Sanctuary, which should remain serene and thus respect the sanctity of the Mass.

The proposed Narthex addition will serve as the main entrance of the church, keeping the Sanctuary

quiet and connecting to the parish center.

In addition to the Narthex project, the following improvements will be covered by this campaign:

• Relocation of choir to create center aisle

• Reconfiguration of Sanctuary to allow for additional seating

• Relocation of restrooms to more appropriate location

• Added access to cry room from new Narthex

• Overhaul of existing audio equipment

• Remodeling of Altar to provide enclosure for the Tabernacle

• Construction of a bell tower on the south side of new Narthex

METHODS OF GIVING

Selecting the best gift plan depends on your personal financial situation and goals. As tax laws always change, and each individual’s financial situation is different, donors are encouraged to consult with financial advisers to determine their most beneficial method for supporting this Capital Campaign.

Advancement Foundation

The Advancement Foundation is a separate legal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization established by the Diocese of Fort Worth to support the fundraising efforts of the Diocese and its parishes and schools. The Advancement Foundation will accept your gifts in a fund

restricted exclusively for the purposes described in the materials for the Doorway to the Sacred Capital Campaign.

Pledges

All members of the parish community are asked to prayerfully consider what they may

contribute to the Doorway to the Sacred capital campaign over a period of three years. Pledges are commitments made in good faith but are not legally binding. They are a promise of support you are making to your parish, which can be fulfilled through monthly, quarterly, semiannual or annual installments.
