Laguna Seca Highlights:

The format at Laguna Seca was a 4 person – 2

best ball and what a close competition it was!

Congrats to the team of Dave Bailey, Jon

Boyes, Randy Boyes and Mark Kaufmann

who shot a combined Net 122 t o capt ur e

first place team honors.

Low Net honors went to Jim McGill who shot

a Net 66. Jim shot a very nice 101 with 2

pars, 6 bogies and an impressive 29 putts, not

to shabby for a 35 handicapper!

Low Gross Honors went t o Steve Gorran

whose round included nine par s and one bir die

to shot a very nice 78.

On The Day:

Biggest Swing: Art Myers with an Eight stroke

difference between front and back.

Mr. Consistencies:

Dale Shull with a pair of

44’s, Daryl Jones wit h a par of 56’s and Ed

Laveroni with a pair of 61’s. Lead Putter:

Daryl Jones with 43 putts on the

day.

WE NEED MORE MEMBERS!

Convince your f r iends or f amily member s t o

become Chipper s. A member ship applicat ion

form is included with this Newsletter. We also

want encour age member s t o br ing guest s t o

each of our tournaments. For 2004 we have

implemented the following program: We will

keep t r ack of all guest signups

f or our

tournaments. At the end of the year, the

member who br ings t he most guest s (t hat

actually end up playing in a tournament) will be

awarded free club membership for the next

year. So invite your friends or family members

to join us!

A MESSAGE FROM THE CLUB PRESIDENT!

Elections for the Chippers Board of Directors

are held each year at the October tournament.

I will not be able t o ser ve as t he Club’s

President next year, and I know there may be

other vacant board positions. This of course

means that we need volunteers to serve on the

2005 board. Our club has been around for

many years, but it can continue to thrive only if

individual members want to work to make the

club’s existence continue. I have a dreadful

feeling that we might not get the necessary

volunteers needed and the Chippers Golf Club

might soon become history. Please help the

club by contacting any board member if you are

willing to serve on next year’s board.

Thank you,
