(TRCA)

About the Organization

TRCA - a 23 year leader in

telecommunications platform sales, maintenance, and field service –TRCA currently provides to over 160,000 seats. TRCA is an authorized Avaya, Cisco, ShoreTel, Interactive Intelligence, & Siemens dealer.

Relationship

TRCA Headquarters

Pain

TRCA relied on its corporate IT department to negotiate carrier voice & data pricing. TRCA’s IT staff was specialized in the service, installation, and maintenance of premise based systems, not in carrier pricing - subsequently unaware that the company was overpaying for its voice and data usage and of steady, competitive declines in prices.

Risk

No risks were associated with TRCA to renegotiate carrier bill. TRCA used master agent agreement to compare pricing of one large carrier to the other.

Solution Provider

Vikki Prather – TRCA National Account Executive - 5 years tenure

Solution

TRCA used its Master Agent Agreements with over 100 carriers to negotiate a lower price for the company’s wireless, phone and data bill.

Benefit

Total annual savings was $81,672.00 on wireless, voice and data. TRCA gained direct access to high level, back office

management within the nation’s carriers. TRCA’s new carrier channels resulted in a high level of response when issues arose. With a Master Agent Agreement, TRCA began to offer the same services to its PBX-VoIP maintenance client base.

Additional Information

TRCA gained additional fiber bandwidth with the carrier provider while maintaining cost reductions, and a low cost

(100mbs/$200) business class cable option was identified providing redundancy.

Pain:

Solution:

During the site discovery, TRCA identified slow internet speeds. Slow speeds were a problem for mechanics when they

After TRCA negotiations with current carrier provider, bandwidth was increased from 1.44 Mbs to 20 Mbs by running fiber from node to demark, replacing outdated copper at no additional monthly cost. New Avaya VoIP system was then installed after identifying a faster circuit solution from the same carrier that was providing a slow, outdated

solution.

Risk:

None. Excel was able to keep their current carrier.

Benefit:

Excel was able to increase their internet speeds from 1.44 MBS to 20 MBS, a 1,389% increase with no cost increase.
