Kraftanlagen Heidelberg has been and is very active in

review, design, planning and layout of safety important

systems and components of the tritium confinement of

ITER.

This means a strong investment in the future which

allows our engineers and designers to work on the

forefront of tritium technology and to contribute

significantly to the technical basis of ITER.

What is the Design Review ?

Design reviews are an integral part of design verification and the ITER Quality Assurance Program.

Design reviews are an integral part of the systems engineering process and are conducted to:

• assess whether the proposed solution meets the design input requirements;

• assess whether the proposed solution is the most robust, efficient and effective solution to achieve

the product requirements

• provide recommendations as required for achieving the design input requirements

• assess the status of the design in terms of the completeness of the drawings and specifications

• assess the evidence to support the verification of the design performance

• verify the proper development, establishment, and control of the configuration baseline

• propose improvements.
