Technologies – investment in sustainable security

Universal application with high system integrity

Our development and production facilities have one thing in common first and foremost: competency.

In our extensive production facilities we work with state-of-the-art processing methods, both with material and extrusion technology and electron-beam cross-linking.

Innovative plastic compounds and cables are developed in modern laboratories. The production facilities are kept at a high technical standard by regular investments. New plastic formu-lations and cables are developed in our modern laboratories. In our own fire laboratory installation cables, fire alarm cables, supply cables etc. are subjected to various fire tests under simulated real-world conditions. Our products are tested for re-silience under the most adverse conditions, be it extreme and long-lasting heat or cold or the influence of chemicals. Our cables and cable support systems are certified to the crite-ria of total system integrity, flame propagation as well as circuit integrity pursuant to BS 6387 C.W.Z., IEC 60330-11/21 and DIN 4102 Part 12. In addition, we can carry out tests to other national as well as international standards and specifications.

In the fire test laboratory, the fire-resistant properties of our prod-ucts are tested by certified testers, technicians and engineers. This pool of equipement is used for the very flexible execution of the wide range of measurements required for BS 6387 C.W.Z., IEC 60331-11/21 and DIN 4102 Part 12, as well as customer-specific requirements and special tests. A multitude of national and inter-national certificates provide proof of the company's power of innovation.

There are various environmental directives in the European Union (EU). Directive 2012/19/EU WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) regulates the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment and components. The use of certain hazardous materials in electrical and electronic devices is defined by Directive 2011/65/EU RoHS 2 (Restriction of Hazardous Substances). Chemicals and materials in general are regulated by the law on chemical substances 1907/2006/ EC REACh (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals).

This means avoiding the following substances, among others:

Cables and conductors and their associated connectors are only affected by Directive 2012/19/EU WEEE insofar as they are an internal part of the listed equipment and components.

Cables and conductors have now been included in 2011/65/EU

What does REACh mean?

REACh stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisati-on and RestrictiAuthorisati-on of Chemicals.

With REACh, the previous chemical law is basically harmonised, simplified and valid in all EU Member States.
