Assembly 2810
January 2021FAITHFUL NAVIGATOR REPORT – Guy DeLuca
Worthy Brother Sir Knights,As we start the New Year, we have so many blessings to be thankful for. With the world in a pandemic crisis, we must thank the Lord for all the gifts he has given us throughout our lives, and cherish all our life’s memories. Let’s pray to God that 2021 will be a better year than 2020.
Our Color Corp Commander, Frank Consentino, and his Color Corp members remain very active as we are attending many events and memorial masses to honor our deceased Sir Knights. We have now a total of 18 Sir Knights that are members of the Color Corps. In 2020, Assembly 2810 had a total of 58 call outs totaling 1598 man hours. This number is lower than 2019 because we did not conduct any call out from March through June because of Covid-19.
Starting in 2021 the collection for the Booster Club is from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021. The Booster Club donations are used for mailing of newsletters, member billing notices and member cards. Your charitable donations honor your willingness to practice our first principle of Charity. In the past we recommended $5 per person, $10 per couple. However, you can donate more depending on your generosity. If you donate to the Booster Club your names will be included in the
newsletter each month. Thanks to all the Sir Knights who paid into the Booster Club in the 2020 fraternal year.
We will be holding our annual Past Faithful Navigator Banquet honoring Sir Knight Tony Gasparino and Sir Knight Bryant Perszyk. The banquet will be held at the Halifax Plantation Restaurant on January 22, 2021 at 6:00 PM. The cost is $50 per person. If you plan on attending please contact Faithful Captain Bob Conochalla via email at
[email protected] (see flyer, bottom of page 3).
Our January Corpus Christi Assembly 2810 Business meeting will be on January 19, 2021 in the Santa Maria Parish Hall starting at 5:00PM. Due to corona virus restrictions we will not be serving any refreshments.
Mary, Queen of the Knights, pray for us, continue to guide us this New Year in our commitments to our principles of the Knights of Columbus and help us promote the spirit of patriotism.
Thank you for your support. I wish all my Brother Sir Knights and their families a blessed, peaceful, healthy and Happy New Year. May God Bless you all.
Vivat Jesus!

Watch, O Lord, with those who wake, watch, or weep tonight, and give
your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend your sick ones, O Lord
Christ. Rest your weary ones. Bless your dying ones. Soothe your
suffering ones. Pity your afflicted ones. Shield your joyous ones.
A PRAYER FOR PROTECTION IN TIME OF PANDEMIC
O Mary, you always brighten our path as a sign of salvation and of hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who, at the Cross, took part in Jesus’ pain while remaining steadfast in faith. O loving Mother, you know what we need, and we are confident you will provide for us as at Cana in Galilee. Intercede for us with your Son Jesus, the Divine Physician, for those who have fallen ill, for those who are vulnerable, and for those who have died. Intercede also for those charged with protecting the health and safety of others and for those who are tending to the sick and seeking a cure. Help us, O Mother of Divine Love, to conform to the will of the Father and to do as we are told by Jesus, who took upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows, so as to lead us, through the Cross, to the glory of the Resurrection. Amen.
Under thy protection we seek refuge, O Holy Mother of God. In our needs, despise not our petitions, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.
