A new development of five contemporary, elegant houses: Horndon Field is situated in the traditional, vibrant village of Woodbury, Devon. Surrounded by countryside and within easy reach of superb beaches, Dartmoor and the city of Exeter; the houses have been designed with classic style and character to reflect their stunning countryside location. Bespoke features of the highest quality are what characterise this beautiful development set in a glorious rural village that has a welcoming community spirit.

Each of the five houses in the development is individually designed with unique decorative touches.

They have been created with opulence in mind, with designer kitchens complete with quartz worktops and luxury bathrooms. Each house also has a deluxe garden office, to enable you to have separate space from the main house if you are working from home, or to be used as a hobby studio.

These modern, eco-friendly properties fit seamlessly into their rural position with stylish yet sympathetic landscaping.

Horndon Field has been envisioned by Tidewater Homes; a subsidiary company of a well-established development company based in Devon, and a family run business with over 100 years combined experience of building houses in the East Devon area. The company’s passion for creating spectacular developments is reflected in the awards they have achieved, including ‘Potton Builder of the Year’ in 1998, ‘NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Award in 2011’ and the ’LABC (Local Authority Building Control) Best New House Award’. Tidewater Homes pride themselves on designing and building ecological, contemporary homes that are built to a standard of excellence, crafted with bespoke detail.

As a result of one of the Directors of Tidewater Homes winning the prestigious ‘Potton Builder of the Year’ award, the company was approached by Nigel Mansell, which led to the magnificent construction of Woodbury Park Golf and Country Club.

Tidewater Homes are proud to showcase their stylish and sophisticated development Horndon Field: a development of five luxury and artfully decorated houses.

About the Developer

Woodbury is a small and friendly village, surrounded by miles of beautiful countryside. The village enjoys excellent travel connections to the M5 motorway, whilst at the same time being tucked away in a fabulous rural setting. It offers an idyllic village lifestyle with easy access to the rest of Devon and all that it has to offer.

For those concerned with schooling opportunities, the renowned St. Peter’s Preparatory School (3-13 years old) in Lympstone is only a five minute drive away. Two well-reputed private senior schools are also very accessible: Blundell’s School in Tiverton and Wellington School in Somerset. Both schools are conveniently no more than half an hour away and have daily bus routes that collect from Darts Farm, which is just minutes from Horndon Field. Another schooling option is the high-achieving Taunton School which has a bus that picks up students from the M5 Exeter services car park; only ten minutes from Horndon Field.

A traditional English village; there is history in abundance in Woodbury with its early 15th century church, antique shops and a local pub that has been running since 1923. Woodbury Common, on the edge of Woodbury, is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which offers excellent walking, mountain biking and views over the Jurassic Coast and the Exe Estuary. It is also a haven for bird life!

The award-winning Darts Farm, where you will discover an array of delicious local produce and artisan shopping, can be found just a couple of miles up the road from Horndon Field and is a firm favourite with the locals!

Designed with understated luxury in mind, these houses have high-end, opulent features and detailing. Stylish lit pillars and low-level eyelid style lights greet you as you enter the main entrance from the private road. Each driveway has an attractive grey block paving finish, with exterior landscaping completing the turfed gardens beautifully. The houses are architecturally impressive, every one individually designed with their own modern exterior and decorative brick detailing. The grey Brazilian roof sets off the houses with class and style.

The inside of each house provides an impressive, functional and spacious place for living, with the entrance hall creating a welcome embrace as you enter the house. You will find an office/snug (with super-fast fibre broadband) on one side of the property, and on the other is a generously sized living room where you can sit back and relax with friends and family, or simply curl up on the sofa with a good book. Beyond this is an incredible open plan living room and kitchen/dining area with bi-fold doors out to the garden and patio area. The living room radiates sophisticated style, whilst the kitchen/dining area has a real ‘wow’ factor with its bespoke, designer kitchen in a classic or contemporary design, quartz worktops and Neff fully integrated appliances. Upstairs there are four, well-proportioned double bedrooms and, in the main bathroom, chrome, brushed brass and black accessories create a luxurious contrast to the classic or contemporary white suite; complete with an elegant free standing bath.

Understated glamour resonates through these beautifully designed houses. As you approach the houses from the private road, architectural excellence is apparent the moment you set eyes on them with their brick exterior with decorative additions and grey slate roof. Cottage style windows add to the classic yet contemporary feel of the houses. Exterior landscaping gives each property a generous private rear garden; fully turfed and fenced with a stunning patio where you can entertain friends and family. A spacious, double garage is attached and the front gardens are lined with beautiful plants such as laurel hedging, buxus plants and Cyprus pine trees.

At the far end of the house you will find the stunning designer kitchen: the heart of this beautiful home. Painted units and quartz worktops give it a traditional yet contemporary look, complete with Neff fully integrated appliances. Bi-fold doors give you direct access to the rear garden onto the patio where you can enjoy a morning coffee or glass of wine whilst the sun sets. After a meal why not retire to the relaxing TV area, or separate lounge – the perfect retreat. All Horndon Field houses enjoy state-of the art, super fast broadband; useful for when working in the home office; or use this area as a snug and stream your favourite film. Upstairs, you’ll find a fabulous master bedroom, complete with dressing area and en suite, with three further bedrooms, one of them also en suite.

All Horndon Field homes have both a study and a second, completely separate, luxurious garden office. This exterior office is fully heated so it can be used all year round, and is wired with the same ultra-fast fibre broadband as inside the main house. This is a perfect solution for those working from home whilst also needing some separation from the main house, or for two people working from home at the same time and in need of different work space; to facilitate an ideal work/life balance.
