Pam Roach Public Relations was created in July of 2007 to culminate 17 years of public and community relations experience. Pam is a PR strategist and specializes in four core areas of reputation management consulting for small, middle-market, and large corporations. HopeWorks® Consulting, Inc., Arlington, Texas 2003 - 2007

Expanded HopeWorks® division of Hill Gilstrap, Harris & Potthoff into an independent organizational and community development consulting firm which specialized in building the capacity of faith and community-based organizations.

Served as technical assistance provider and trainer for local, regional, and national intermediaries to increase the operational performance of hundreds of nonprofit organizations serving Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, and Houston. Created new consulting division of HGHP, called HopeWorks, which served an emerging market of faith- and community-based land developers.

Researched and developed community assessment reports, market and property analyses reports.

Mount Olive Baptist Church is a prominent 10,000-member, historic congregation located in Arlington, Texas, that is the parent organization of three nonprofit organizations. Served in three capacities over the course of four years including:

Program Director, Arlington New Beginnings, Inc.(ANB) (1999 – 2000)

Led award-winning program design and implementation for ANB’s seniors housing development

Used media controversy to reverse negative perception of affordable housing project. Established innovative partnerships with University of Texas at Arlington’s

senior residents, City of Arlington Police Department to establish on-site “Cop-shop” to promote resident safety .

Media spokesperson.

Director of Community Outreach (1997 – 1999)

Managed all aspects of public relations, marketing and communications for the church.

Generated over 100 newspaper articles, guest appearances on radio talk shows, television news stories.

Managed project administration during the concept, development and implementation phases of Arlington New Beginnings (ANB) supportive seniors’ housing project. The project was awarded a U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Best Practices Award in 2000.

Facilitated the history-making partnership between the City of Arlington and Mount Olive Baptist Church.

Media spokesperson during three-year controversial development of seniors housing complex.

Director of Fundraising, Metro Christian Academy (Now called Metro Charter Academy) (1996 – 1999)

Directed all funds-development programs for K-8th grade historic private school, including grant writing, planned giving, community-wide special events, and scholarship programs. Media spokesperson.

Edward Blank Associates, Inc. Arlington, Texas 1991 – 1993

Founded by a pioneer in outbound telemarketing in New York in 1970 and became a Top 10 firm, selling products and services from 13 call centers in the U.S. and Canada, including Arlington, Texas. EBA was known for stringent quality control standards, cutting- edge technology and innovative sales techniques.

Sales Trainer (1992 – 1993)

Hired and trained all new-hire sales staff to operate national telemarketing campaigns including New York Telephone (later re-named AT&T), Gevalia Coffees, and Weekly Reeder Children’s Books.

Responsible for conducting performance appraisals, interviewing job applicants, and training new staff members. Managed sales team during incubation period until performance standards were met.
