Need for the port to have a better visibility in order to assure their license to operate
Often isolated initiatives, although should be implemented as a real cooperative port city project

1- What is a Port Centre ?
Educational Initiative supported more or less by local authorities
Aim : get to know the port and maritime/industrial activities
Educational itinerary based a lot on personal experiences (interactive)
Permanent expositions and on side visits of the port
Collaboration with universities and other research institutions
In general Port Centres need a strong local anchoring. The objective is to develop a community outreach program that enhances the port
legitimacy on the territory and makes social support growing bigger!
