CALVARY APOSTOLIC CHURCH, UPCI
La Crosse, Wisconsin
The Basic fundamental doctrine of this organization shall be the Bible standard of full salvation, which is repentance, baptism in water by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for re-mission of sins, and baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utter-ance. We shall endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit until we all come into the unity of the faith, at the same time admonishing all brethren that they shall not contend for their different views to the disunity of the body.
OUR CHURCH PURPOSE IS:
That you might walk wor-thy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.(Colossians1:10)OUR CHURCH VISION IS:

Relationships
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is
like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (Matthew 22:37-39)
God created the first relationship in Genesis 2:18, with Adam and Eve. "And the LORD God said, It is not good
that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him"(Genesis 2:18). God desires us to abound in our
personal relationships and to allow His love to show through us. No man is an island to himself. We each need each other. Strong relationships are a positive factor in your spiritual growth. If we cut ourselves off from the body, like a branch from the vine, we will die. Spiritual relationships are created when two or more people come together for the purpose of spiritual growth and development. These relationships may even someday develop into marriage, but this should never be the initial reason for spiritual relationships. The ultimate goal of a spiritual relationship is for spiritual growth. The early church began to build a spiritual relationship as soon as they were filled with the Holy Ghost: "And they continued
stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers" (Act 2:42).
Your first relationship and most important is always with Jesus Christ. Nothing and no one should come before your relationship with Him. If you have to pick between Him and someone, the choice should be easy, for scripture says,
"Thou shalt have no other gods before me" (Exodus 20:3).

One sure way to
lose the war
is to complain in
the heat of the battle!
We already know that we develop our relationship with Jesus through prayer, reading His Word, daily devotions and meditating on Him and His Word. The second relationship is with your spouse and then your children. Notice, your spouse comes before your children. You can not expect to have harmony in your home if you put your children before your spouse. Your marriage is a reflection of Christ and the church. The third relationship is with your church family. Within the church, you need a good relationship with your pastor and with the brothers and sisters in the church. If this relationship is strained, you will have a hard time trying to grow spiritually.
As stated, the ultimate goal of all relationships in the church is for spiritual growth and development. This month, we will be focusing on Relationships during Wednesday night Bible study. You won’t want to miss a single study. They will help good relationship be even better, and help improve those that need improving. If they do, then you don't want to miss a single lesson this month.

WHITE FIELDS
The harvest cannot reap itself.
It must have reapers, now,
For the fields are white and ready
And must be reaped, somehow.
Oh, pray the Lord of the harvest
To send the reapers out.
To gather in the lost ones
All around about!
“The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few;
pray ye, therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He
would send forth laborers into His harvest.”
Luke 10:2
A new teacher was trying to make use of her
psychology courses. She started her class by
saying, "Everyone who thinks you're stupid,
stand up!" After a few seconds, Little Johnny
stood up. The teacher said, "Do you think you're
stupid, Little Johnny? "No, ma'am, but I hate to
see you standing there all by yourself!"
"A merry heart doeth good like a medicine...”

Edward Simmons has served as pastor, Christian school teacher and administrator, Bible school instructor and vice-chairman, and associate pastor. He was the senior associate pastor at Revival Tabernacle, San Diego, California, when he and his wife, Mary, received their missionary appointment to Thailand in March 2004. Brother & Sister Simmons went to Thailand in 2001 on the AIM program and preached at the general conference, in many churches, and at the youth conference; taught Bible studies; ministered in Cambodia and northern Thailand; and visited Laos and the Burmese border. They had some very interesting experiences while there: a Malaysian viper in the hotel lobby, a wasp attack, a shootout in Cambodia directly in front of their van, four-wheeling to mountain tribal villages, and listening to the Thai artillery shelling Burmese troops who had crossed the border. Best of all, they saw 38 souls receive the Holy Ghost and 30 baptized in Jesus’ name.
