Advanced Performance

Measures

Establish a performance measurement system

to guide decision making

(3)

Dear Management Professional,

It has been 20 years since the original Government

Performance and Results Act (GPRA), the concepts

and methods of performance measurement have

been taught. As you look to get beyond the concepts,

many have encountered the challenges of applying

to their agencies. With the GPRA Modernization

in 2010, along with the continuous search for best

practices, lessons learned, and models to improve

performance provide more barriers than solutions.

We see enhancements to data collection, reporting,

and analysis; yet, the struggles to utilize performance

measures to guide decision making throughout all

levels of agencies. What if there was a “scientific”

approach to performance measurement and the

ability to communicate performance data to various

audiences? Could a lifecycle get beyond the

concepts, and focused on the applied elements of

performance? Our hypothesis is that performance

measurement systems can be more “science” than

“art”, and answer the next generation challenges in

management.

During this interactive and in-depth two-day course,

attendees will be exposed to applied skills, techniques,

processes, and methods that will help guide and

improve development of performance measures

and performance management frameworks. With

a blend of interactive exercises, case studies and

guided presentations, attendees will gain a higher

understanding of how to efficiently solve problems

and make better decisions. Broken up into seven

informative learning modules, attendees will start by

understanding critical thinking and problem solving

skills, work through root cause analyses and end with

evaluating effective decision making and stakeholder

buy-in.

Please join us in Washington, DC for this in-depth

and interactive learning experience that will open the

door to increased results and minimized waste in

your organization through essential critical thinking

skills. We look forward to seeing you there!

Sincerely,

The Performance Institute
