FAMILY: Monday evenings 6:00pm Moms Group in FR Jan 23 Mini March for Life

• Cherish Your Spouse video series. What does it mean to cherish your

spouse? When we cherish our spouse, we appreciate and treasure their unique characteristics and can love them and our Creator in a more meaningful way. Focus on the Family's FREE video series will help you gain a greater appreciation for your spouse. Each short episode will address a different topic and give you practical advice to help you enter into a deeper level of intimacy and connection with your spouse as you learn to cherish them. Videos include: #1 What is Cherishing? #2 A Husband Cherishing His Wife #3 A Wife Cherishing Her Husband #4 The

Absence of Cherishing #5 Giving Couples Hope. Sign up at https://

www.focusonthefamily.com/marriage/cherish-your-spouse.

• Mini March for Life January 23 - Join us in the fight for life! Help us

honor the beauty of life and the dignity of each human person with a Rosary and "mini March" uptown. Led by IC Students4Life, 10am Rosary in Church, 10:30am Mini March uptown. Hot drinks and doughnuts after in the Fellowship Room.

• IC Moms Group extends a friendly invitation to ALL moms of the parish

to join our group! We meet on Monday evenings from 6-8pm in the Fellowship Room. Food and babysitting are provided! Moms of all ages and stages are welcome to come for discussion on and affirma-tion in the many roles that we have in life as mothers, wives, daughters, sisters, and friends, bonded by our vocation and our Catholic faith. Come join us!

• The Year of St. Joseph is an ideal time to “go to Joseph” for the help we

need to be holy. Even small details like adding the invocation, “St. Joseph, pray for us!” following grace before meals or bedtime prayers, marking the top of your notepad or homework assignment with “JMJ”,

or setting an alarm on your phone to spend a moment with the holy Patriarch can be effective reminders of the closeness of the Holy Fami-ly of Jesus, Mary, & Joseph. For more ideas, go to yearofstjoseph. org.

IC Family Night on Facebook

At this moment in time, we are planning a “real” concert in church with a “real” audience and “real” singers and musicians.

“A Fourth Old Time Gospel Hour” will be presented

Sunday, April 25th at 2:00 pm in the church. A free-will offering will be taken up and refreshments will be served in the Fellowship Room.

Prayer Group for Priests: St. Ann's Sodality is continuing the parish-wide prayer group to pray for priests! Our prayers will help our priests, who are the fathers of our faith community, to remain strong in their vocation to preach the truth, guide us, and be the visible presence of Christ in the world. Parishioners can pick a day of the year to pray for all priests or an individual priest, so that every day of the year 2021 is covered in pray-er. Individual index cards with a day of the year printed on one side and St. Faustina's Prayer for Holy Priests on the other side are available in file boxes in the back of church and are organized by month. You may take a card and then pray specifically for priests on that particular date. The prayer dates will start January 1, 2021 and continue through the year. If you cannot make it to church in person to take a card, feel free to pick a day on your own to pray, or you can say the prayer every day! (See prayer below) If you have any questions, please contact Ruth Ann Hester at 573-270-4844. Thank you for joining us in this important ministry!

Here is the Prayer for Priests: O my Jesus, I beg you on behalf of the whole

Church: Grant it love and the light of Your Spirit, and give power to the words of priests so that hardened hearts might be brought to repentance and return to You, O Lord. Lord, give us holy priests; You yourself maintain them in holiness. O Divine and Great High Priest, may the power of Your

mercy accompany them everywhere and protect them from the devil’s

traps and snares which are continually being set for the souls of priests. May the power of Your mercy, O Lord, shatter and bring to naught all that might tarnish the sanctity of priests, for You can do all things. Amen.

Next week we will take up the Collection for the Church in Latin America. For many in Latin America and the Caribbean, a rising secular culture, difficult rural terrain, and a shortage of minis-ters all present obstacles to practicing the faith. Your support for the collection provides lay leadership training, catechesis, priestly and religious formation, and other programs to share our Catholic faith with those who long to hear the Good News of Christ. To learn more about how your gifts make a difference, visit www.usccb.org/latin-america.

By now, you probably have packed up all your Christmas decorations and stored them for next year. We

hope you haven’t put your Faith on the shelf. Faith is part of your daily life and, in this secular world, it is vital to have encouragement for the journey. Let Covenant Network help you with your daily dose of Truth with our inspiring programming. Tune into 94.3 FM, listen on our free app or at OurCatholicRadio.org.
