SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS

Guidelines For Submission of Abstract

• All abstracts submitted online will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee.

• Abstracts will be selected either for E-Poster, Oral Presentations or for the Young Investigator Awards (YIA) Presentations.

• All E-Posters and Oral Presentations selected will be aired on the Virtual Platform website. The best 5 Young Investigator Awards Presentations selected by the Scientific Committee will be delivered via a pre-recorded video presentation of 10 minutes duration during the Main Congress. Presenters are expected to be present during their pre-recorded video presentation for a Q&A session (5 minutes) . • Awards will be accorded to the top 3 YIA Presentations and best E-Poster/ Oral Presentation. • Information regarding acceptance of abstract will be sent to the author once confirmed.

• Instructions for preparation of Oral, E-Poster and YIA presentations will be sent together with the acceptance notification.

• Before submitting your abstract, you will have to register and pay as a delegate by creating a personal account in the MATCVS 2021 website.

• Please use the account and password you have created before to submit your abstract. • Please make sure all the submitted information is accurate before the submission deadline.

• Only the accepted abstracts of fully registered and paid delegates will be included in the final scientific program. All presenting authors are expected to attend the Main Congress.

Length, Style and Formatting

• Abstract must be in English.

• The length of each abstract should not be more than 400 words.

• CAPITALISE entire TITLE, then author’s name, institution or hospital, city and country. Underline presenting author’s name only. Omit degrees and title. Include full address.

• Use of standard abbreviations is desirable. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full word, the first time it appears. Use numerals to indicate numbers except to begin sentences. • Organise the body of the abstract as follows:

(a) a statement of the purpose of the study; (b) a statement of the methods used; (c) a statement of the results;

(d) a summary of the conclusions reached.

• Text must be typed single-spaced, no space between paragraphs. • Abstract submission must be accompanied by registration fee.

• All abstracts must be submitted via our online abstract submission system. • Abstracts should be submitted using the Abstract Template provided.

• Abstracts should be saved in Word document format (*.doc) and may not exceed 1mb in file size. We will be unable to accept the docx format.
