ARTICULATION AGREEMENT
This Articulation Agreement is made between Anne Arundel Community College and Walden University and dated this 21st day of February, 2012 (the "Agreement").
I. Parties
A. Walden University
Walden is a member of the Laureate international network and is a regionally accredited university that offers a range of programs, including business administration, criminal justice, and psychology degree programs.
B. Anne Arundel Community College
Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) is a public, comprehensive, community-engaged institution of higher education. Founded in 1961 and fully accredited since 1968, it is one of the oldest and largest of the sixteen community colleges serving the state of Maryland. Anne Arundel Community College offers transfer and career associate degree programs; certificate programs; credit courses; and continuing education, workforce development, and lifelong learning opportunities.
II. Purpose
This Agreement outlines the transferability of courses from Anne Arundel Community College to the Bachelor programs at Walden University. Specific program-to-program articulations are set forth in Section III below.
III Articulation Specifics
The following tables outline courses eligible for transfer. AACC students who successfully complete these courses with a grade of 'C' or better, and meet the requirements for admission to Walden may receive credit toward their Bachelor's degree. All credits will be

IV. Term and Termination
This Agreement will automatically renew for additional terms of one year. Either party may terminate this Agreement for any reason with 90 days written notice. Such termination shall not affect the rights of any students participating in any program under this Agreement prior to receipt of such notice. This Agreement will terminate automatically in the event that Anne Arundel Community College fails to maintain its accreditation status.
VI. Other Provisions
A. Admission to Walden University. Participation in this Agreement does not guarantee any Anne Arundel Community College student admission to Walden University. Potential students must apply in accordance with the procedures set forth by the University from time to time.
B. FERPA. For purposes of this Agreement, pursuant to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), Walden and Partner will only be permitted to exchange student information with an appropriate release provided by the student. A sample of such release is attached hereto as Attachment A.
Walden and Partner agree to protect the Confidential Information from use or disclosure using no less than a reasonable degree of care. Upon expiration or termination of this Agreement, or upon the other party's request, Walden and Partner agree to return to the other party to whom the Confidential Information belongs all copies of Confidential
Information, and all drawings, documents, records, notebooks, disks, tapes, data residing or recorded in electronic media, and all other representations of Confidential Information, whether prepared by Walden, Partner, or others
D. Enforcement. Anne Arundel Community College and Walden University are the only Parties to this Agreement and are the only Parties entitled to enforce its terms. Nothing in this Agreement gives, or is intended to give, or shall be construed to give or provide any benefit or right, whether directly, indirectly or otherwise, to any third person not a party to this Agreement.
E. Non-Exclusivity. Anne Arundel Community College and Walden University reserve the right to enter into similar agreements with other institutions.
F. Choice of Law. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota.
G. Notice. Any notice required hereunder shall be sent by certified or registered mail, return receipt requested and shall be deemed given three (3) days after deposit thereof in the U.S. mail (postage prepaid).
H. Understanding of the Parties. This Agreement sets forth the entire understanding of the parties hereto and supersedes any and all prior agreements, arrangements and understandings, oral or written, of any nature whatsoever, between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof.

ATTACHMENT A
WALDEN UNIVERSITY, LLC
FERPA RELEASE FORM
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) limits the disclosure of certain information from student records. I understand that I have the right not to consent to the release of my educational records and I have the right to receive a copy of such records upon request.
I hereby authorize Walden University, LLC ("Walden") to release all information, without
limitation, regarding my enrollment and academic records to ("Partner") for the purpose of facilitating my application, enrollment, and/or matriculation at Walden through Partner, my employer/sponsoring organization. This authorization to release information includes, without limitation, the following:
(a) Application and enrollment data; (b) Grade reports;
(c) Scheduling and registration documents; (d) Degree audit information;
(e) Financial and billing materials;
(f) Records of disciplinary proceedings, and
(g) Any and all other personal information held by Walden.
This authorization remains in effect from the date written below through ___________ (Month/Year). I understand that it will be necessary to send a written request to revoke this authorization prior to the date indicated.
I affirm that I have carefully read the foregoing authorization and that I fully understand the meaning and intent of this document. I affirm that I have signed this authorization voluntarily, knowingly and with the intent of being legally bound.
