QUESTION 1
The bid response format states that the bids have to be typed on the given format and not reproduced. However the bid forms are not editable, please advice on the way to respond?
ANSWER: Complete the bid documents the way they are and do not recreate them.
QUESTION 2: Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 (Page 1).
Mainstream support for SCOM 2007 ends July 8, 2014. SCOM 2012 is released, is there any plan to upgrade to SCOM 2012?
ANSWER: Yes
QUESTION 3: Microsoft System Center Service Manager 2010 (Page 1).
Mainstream support ends July 14, 2015. Is there any plan to upgrade to SCSM 2012?
ANSWER: Yes.
QUESTION 4: Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 (Page 1) Whether this is a single site or multi-site?
ANSWER: Multi-Site: Production 1, LAB & Production 2
Do we need to provide self service capability from end user perspective?
ANSWER: Yes.
What level of reporting expecting from this tool?
ANSWER: Refer to paragraph 4.4 in the Terms of Reference document.

How many workstation and users members in the organization?
ANSWER: About 580.
How many divisions are there in FSB?
ANSWER: 42
Do we have any external users (Like: - VPN)?
ANSWER: Yes.
Do we any external vendors to manage?
ANSWER: No.
Do we need to manage Patch/Antivirus/packages?
ANSWER: No, done in-house.
Do we need mobile integration?
ANSWER: No.
What is all the integration required under configuration manager (like-Software Distribution, Software Updates, Operating System Deployment, inventory etc.)?
ANSWER: The listed items are fine.
Which step is carried out for the client installation like (software update installation, client push installation, manual client installation, group policy installation, and imaging)?
ANSWER: All from SCCM.
Are there any remote tools to remotely administer client computers?
ANSWER: Yes SCCM: Microsoft Lync 2010 for Remote User Support.
Backup and Recovery process (in case of unexpected events)?

Which is the security mode carried out in SCCM (Native or Mixed mode)?
ANSWER: Mixed.
Is there any citrix application hosted on configuration manager using the citrix connector?
ANSWER: No.
How many applications are hosted on the configuration manager?
ANSWER: 1.
QUESTION 5: Microsoft System Center Service Manager 2010 (Page 1) Describe your current support structure.
ANSWER: ICT supports its in-house users. +/- 530 users, end-to-end on ICT services.
Do we have existing CMDB or do we have to create newly for all the IT Asset?
ANSWER: SCCM 2007 can list all items that are part of AD.
Do we have any SLM and SLA defined at present?
ANSWER: No.
Do we need to integrate other than SCOM to SM (Like: - Configuration manger, Virtual Machine Manger, Other third part tools)?
ANSWER: Yes.
Backup and Recovery process (in case of unexpected events)?
ANSWER: Yes, we have this in place.
Planning for Performance and Scalability in Service Manager 2010?
ANSWER: Yes.

ANSWER: Enterprise.
If SharePoint 2010 is already installed and configured are Servers are running on Virtual environment?
ANSWER: All SharePoint Servers are Virtual, SQL Database Servers are Physical.
How big is the setup in terms of GB and TB?
ANSWER: SharePoint has around 2.5 - 3TB Storage space reserved.
How many users will be accessing the farm and what may be the future growth?
ANSWER: Unknown number of users accessing the SharePoint sites as most of the sites will be publicly accessible; currently 8 Portals are hosted on the SharePoint Infrastructure.
Are SharePoint server 2010 is configured with High Availability?
ANSWER: Yes.
What is the preferred method of recording extension or Trunk?
ANSWER: Extension.
Backup and Recovery process (in case of unexpected events)?
ANSWER: Yes: CommVault.
How many Site collection/Sites with in SharePoint 2010?
ANSWER: Currently 8 Portals are hosted on the SharePoint Farm.
Are all are intranet sites or any extranet/internet sites?
ANSWER:Both intranet/internet sites.
Are there any customized sites, if any? How many sites?
ANSWER: Currently 5 Custom Sites

What are all the features of SharePoint 2010 using in current sites?
ANSWER: Enterprise Features.
QUESTION 7: Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 (Page 1) How many agent and agentless Servers are monitored?
ANSWER: Agent managed = 81, Agentless managed = 14.
Any third party applications are monitored?
ANSWER: None.
What kind of reporting structured maintained in your environment? (e.g.:- Graphical, Chart)
ANSWER: Refer to ToR paragraph 4.4 for reporting requirements
Number of Servers are monitoring or to be monitored?
ANSWER: All production physical and virtual machines.
Number of Physical and Virtual Servers?
ANSWER: Production Physical servers = 13, Production Virtual Machines = 70 vms, Lab Physical Servers= 4, Lab virtual Machines = 33.
What are the Platform aspects? (Numbers of Processors, RAM, Drive configuration, 64/32-bit operating system.)

Is there any standalone server, if any? Do we have certificate? What is the certificate renewal process?
ANSWER: FSB has a wildcard certificate that can be used.
What Version of SCOM using (SCOM 2007 SP1, SCOM 2007 R2)?
ANSWER: SCOM 2007 R2 Version 6.1.7221.0.
What are the different applications that need to be monitored or monitoring? (SQL servers, SharePoint, Apache, Tomcat, SAP, VMware and SUSE Linux)
ANSWER: SharePoint, SQL, Exchange, Vision, NuQ, AccPac, Oasis, Magic, Hummingbird, CRM, & Workflow and three (3) standalone application installations. The FSB does not run SAP.
Different OS current used(in case of SCOM 2007 SP1 no UNIX and LINUX platform monitoring, if SCOM R2 can monitor both UNIX and LINUX Platform)
ANSWER: No.
Do we need to monitor other Hardware Equipment’s (Routers, Switches, etc.)?

ANSWER: Yes: Windows Server 2008 R2 is used within FSB.
Different core Infrastructure Services monitored? (AD, DNS, Microsoft Systems Management Servers (SMS), etc.)?
ANSWER: Yes: Xsigo Networking, HP Switch Equipment, Cisco Firewalls.
What is the escalation procedure?
