Australian  Capital  Territory  

For  all  trainees  eligible  for  funded  training  from  the  ACT  Government,  the  learner  is  required  to  contribute   $350  per  qualification  towards  cost  of  training,  materials  and  equipment.  

Trainees  who  hold  a  current  Health  Care  Card  or  Pension  Card  or  can  prove  genuine  hardship  may  be   eligible  for  a  concession  from  the  set  fee.

Queensland  

User  Choice  

For  all  trainees  eligible  for  User  Choice  funded  training  from  the  Queensland  Government,  the  learner  is   required  to  pay  a  Student  contribution  fee  of  $1.60  per  nominal  hour.    Nominal  hours  are  determined  in   consultation  with  published  hours  from  the  Queensland  Department  of  Education,  Training  and  Employment   and  negotiated  with  the  learner  and  their  employer  as  part  of  the  Training  Plan.  

Partial  or  full  exemptions  may  apply  when  the  trainee  meets  any  of  the  following  criteria.    Further  details   should  be  sought  from  Momentum  Consulting  (Qld)  Pty  Ltd  by  calling  0408  135  288  or  emailing

Full  Exemption  

(0%  of  Student  contribution  fee  payable)  

16  years  or  younger  at  28  February  2015,  not   at  school  AND  not  completed  Year  12  

Would  experience  extreme  financial  hardship   if  paying  the  Student  contribution  fee  

Possesses  a  Commonwealth  health  care  card   or  pensioner  concession  card  or  is  named  on   a  card  as  a  dependent  

Is  excused  from  the  Student  contribution  fee   by  an  officer  of  the  Department  of  Education,   Training  and  Employment  in  writing  

Possesses  an  official  Commonwealth  form   confirming  their  entitlement  to  one  of  the   above  cards  

Is  receiving  Credit  Transfer  for  a  Unit  of   Competency  

Is  an  Aboriginal  or  Torres  Strait  Islander   person  

Is  a  School-­based  Trainee  

 

Certificate  3  Guarantee  Program  

Each  learner  who  enrols  into  a  Certificate  3  Guarantee  funded  program  is  required  to  pay  a  co-­contribution   fee.  This  fee  represents  the  total  cost  to  each  learner  who  would  like  to  enrol,  undertake  training  and  be   awarded  the  qualification.  Each  learner  should  also  be  aware  of  the  QLD  Governments  Fact  Sheet  on  this   program  (http://www.training.qld.gov.au/resources/training-­organisations/pdf/c3g-­factsheet-­learner.pdf).
