The Automatic Group have been trading since February 1982.
Initially, the business was involved in supply and maintenance of Domestic Intruder Alarm Systems and Commercial systems, with the option of being connected to a British Standards approved 24 hours alarm receiving centre, using Redcare, Redcare GSM, Dual Comm GSM or Digital Communicator.
Since these early days, the Automatic Group have moved into installation and maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems and Emergency Lighting Systems and are now able to provide insurer approved systems to Shops, Offices, Hotels, Restaurants, Care Homes, Industrial Units, Schools, Colleges and Universities, Multi-Occupied Apartment Buildings, NHS Trusts and Breweries.
We are proud that many of our Clients have stayed with the Company from day one and many local authorities and housing association contracts in place are still with us after several years. This endorses the Company policy of offering excellent service and value to customers.
We are also able to offer various payment methods including direct debits on maintenance work and leasing on installation work.

Our services include:
Emergency Lighting Systems – We supply Self Contained Luminaries,
Addressable Luminaries and Central Battery Systems of which all comply with BS5266 installed to current Electrical Regulations.
Fire and Emergency Lighting Systems
The Automatic Group supply, install, service and maintain fire alarm systems
throughout the North West of England, ranging from conventional to complex analogue addressable systems with optional computer graphics display. All systems conform to BS5839 and are installed to current Electrical Regulations BS7671. We can supply and service all types of Fire Extinguishers manufactured to BS EN 3. Hose Reels, Dry Riser Testing, Signage and Sprinkler Systems are also available.
Electrical Installation & Service
The Automatic Group provides electrical installation, testing and certification as required by the
Electricity at Work Act 1989. All work is carried out in compliance with BS7671 and NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contractors) Regulations.

Electrical periodic inspection and testing also in compliance with EU and Health & Safety at Work legislation.
All our Engineers are CRB checked and work is carried out to the highest standards.
Security Systems – All systems comply with British and European Standards and the codes of practice of the
NSI. We are Nacoss Gold Accredited. Installations have the option of being connected to a British Standards approved 24 hour alarm receiving centre, using Redcare, Redcare GSM, Dual Comm or Digital Communicator.
Exterior Detection – Systems covering industrial, commercial and residential properties. Automatic lighting
can be incorporated for added security and courtesy situations.
Access Systems - There are a wide range and types of access systems that we can install and maintain to
current NSI code of practice (NACP 30). These include key fob access, swipe and biometric (fingerprint and keypads). All of these can be stand alone or PC networked to interlink different doors. In addition, these systems can be integrated with alarms, CCTV, gates and barriers, allowing you to grant different permissions. Typical applications - small/medium business premises, large corporate premises, sports clubs, multiple-site premises, storage units, universities, government buildings and car parks.
Security
Intruder Alarm Systems have evolved over the years into Building Management Systems and are capable of providing data such as event logging, opening and closing times and verification.
The Automatic Group can supply, install service and maintain intruder alarms, access
control system and exterior detection systems covering the industrial, commercial and residential market place throughout the North West of England.
Door entry systems - We install and maintain various
types of Door Entry systems; digital, functional, audio & video, from light use to very heavy duty use to cope with high levels of abuse. Our range of units cover from the top end systems with stainless steel panels and colour video to basic one handset simple entry systems. Typical applications include Offices, industrial units, domestic premises, blocks of flats. We are also able to install Concierge systems and systems which comply with the Disabled Access and DDA (1995) Regulations.
Staff Attack Systems - For all Staff who are at risk from
possible attack, we offer an Infrared Staff Protection System. All at risk staff carry a transmitter which fills the area with infrared signals that are picked up by a special receiver which then displays where an attack has taken place and summons help.

The Automatic Group has a wide experience in the
installation and maintenance of CCTV systems complying to NCP104 / BS 8418. All systems are tailor-made to suit your application and budget using the highest quality
equipment. CCTV is successful in convicting criminals for theft and vandalism, providing evidence in a Court of Law.
We are also experienced in Covert Systems where cameras can be hidden in every day fittings, such as clocks, passive infra red detectors, smoke detectors, making them virtually invisable to the eye.
From single camera installations to fully networked systems, the Automatic Group can provide the service, including remote monitoring options.
The Automatic Group are a BS EN ISO9001:2008 Company (Certification No. NAC/G/267) and an
approved installer of intruder alarms, access control and CCTV systems (NSI enrolment number 1046) complying with the Council’s rules and codes of practice at all times.

We are able to install and maintain Nurse Call Systems; conventional, addressable or wireless, including Disabled Persons Toilet alarms and can supply replacement parts, ie; pull-cords, push-call buttons, call units and accessories.
