Comprehensive Progress Report
Mission:North Duplin Jr./Sr. High School is committed to provide quality and equity in teaching all students. The school's mission is to educate students to high levels of learning and to foster positive attitudes and behaviors, which will enable students to function successfully in society. This mission will be accomplished through effective instructional leadership, high expectations for all students, safe and orderly environment, frequent monitoring of students' progress, and effective home, school, and community relationships.
Vision: Working collaboratively with the community to inspire students to become lifelong learners, prepared for college and
career success. Goals:
NDJS will achieve a school performance of "B" or better and exceed expected growth for the 2020-21 school year by increasing the percentage of students scoring at grade-level proficiency to 66.4 % as recommended by the district. By the end of 2021-22 school year, 100% of students will participate in college and career ready skill sessions as outlined by grade level plans.
By the end of 2021-22, 100% of our teachers will participate in school-wide professional development to create, collect, analyze, and share data.

As of September 2020, our school is having an orientation week to accumulate students to the new policies and procedures in place for the 2020-21 school year. Sixth graders visited our campus in the spring. In the spring, eighth graders
participated in a CTE Awareness Day and had the opportunity to visit every department. Guidance sponsors virtual individualized registration meetings for all students and scores are available for MS and HS teachers and hosts parent meetings virtually.
As of August 2019, our middle school STEM, CTE and band teachers teach one class of NDE sixth graders per semester. Sixth graders come over for a campus tour and we hold a separate orientation for NDJS seventh graders. Guidance sponsors individualized registration meetings for all students and scores are available for MS and HS teachers and hosts parent meetings.
