Library Media Teacher

Congratulations to Mrs. Rosenberry as she retires at the end of this school year and begins a new

“chapter” after her five years as the Library Teaching Assistant here at Plank North! Her enthusiasm,

hard work, organization, sense of humor, and dedication to students will be missed by all!

The library is going to be going through a COMPLETE REMODEL! The library will need to

close early this year in preparation. All library materials are due back to the library by Friday,

June 4.

It will be exciting to see the “NEW” library next year!! Stay tuned for details!!

Fifth Grade Battle of the Books was VERY exciting this year! Each class had three classroom

battles and the team with the highest total points advanced to the Championship! The McNuggets

from Mrs. Rokosz’s class won and will keep the trophy in Mrs. Rokosz’s room for another year! The

winner of the Kahoot Battle for individual students who read all five books was Kyle H. in Mrs.

Merkey’s class! Fantastic reading, teamwork, and fun for all! The fourth and fifth grades watched the

Championship over Zoom. The fourth graders got to see what to look forward to for next year!

Music Notes

As another school year draws to a close I would like to thank everyone for a very interesting year of music classes. Words can’t express how much I appreciate the parents, grandparents, older siblings, and everyone else who helped my students log on for the online music classes. For me, the best part of online classes was seeing families making music together. (Meeting all of the family pets was pretty great, too!)

I am so grateful to the Webster community for recognizing the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of music. While music teachers realize that not all of our students will go on to become performing musicians, the benefits of being able to appreciate music and understand its nuances are what makes our jobs so rewarding.

Enjoy your summer! -Miss Mossey

websterschools.org Plank Road North Handbook

Have a question about your child’s school day, school and district policies or PTSA programs? The Plank Road North Handbook is a great place to start to have your questions answered. In an effort to be more eco-friendly, the handbook is now located on the school’s website. You can find it here: www.websterschools.org/planknorth

under the tab Forms and Publications (misc). The PTSA encourages parents to keep this reference book handy throughout the school year to answer questions that may pop up. If there is anything you would like to suggest adding to the handbook in future editions, or if you have any corrections, please contact us at
