Historic Milestones

R&D, Pilot Programs 1967 • 1967 - Incorporated in Colorado

• 1970’s - Developed a battery electric passenger car known as the ‘Electrek”. Stemming from the ‘Electrek’, patented core UQM permanent magnetic motor tech

• 1980’s - Formed key relationships and funding sources AVS Bus, Ballard Power Systems, Caterpillar, U.S. DOE, U.S. Department of Defense (“DOD”), Eaton, Ford/Ecostar, General Motors, and John Deere

• 1991 - Selected for the BMW E1 electric vehicle

• 1998 - Launched UQM’s first gearless brushless direct drive motor

• 2000 - Introduced its UQM system in Detroit Auto Show

• 2006 - Displayed UQM motor in an all-electric Chevrolet Silverado truck in Washington DC

• 2012 - Initiated contracts with Audi A1 e-tron, Hino Bus Contract, EVI UPS Contract

• 2013 - UQM entered into long term agreement with EVI, Proterra EV Bus three-year supply contract, Denver RTD Hybrid Bus, and Zenith Motor Van order

• 2014 - UQM achieves TS 16949 Quality Certification

• 2015 - UQM achieves ISO 14001 Environmental Certification
