accountants, bookkeepers, financial advisors, internal business partners and staff in

real-time. Xero helps small businesses to manage their finances better. There’s no

software to install, and it’s no hassle to set up. Xero simply allows them to get on with

Avoid the clutter and stress that you usually face every month getting all your clients’ banking data together in a timely manner. Xero is connected to a range of banks so your clients’ bank transactions automatically appear every day, saving you time and taking away the pain of manual data entry. With automatic daily bank feeds it is easy to keep the books up to date on a more regular basis, providing a real-time view of the financial information via the Xero dashboard.

Xero’s banking integration improves your clients’ awareness of their cashflow and visibility of their immediate future – cash in and cash out. The intuitive design and advanced features of Xero make collaboration easy using the single

ledger for both experts (such as you, the advisor) and non-experts (your clients, the small

business owners). Xero Cashbook has been designed to help your clients manage their cash

whilst allowing you to manage their money against budgets, using the same data at the same

time – anywhere, anytime.

Ideal for businesses or individuals who don’t have a need for accrual accounting, Xero Cashbook is a simplified version of Xero only available through you, the advisor, as part of the services you offer.

Accessed in exactly the same way as the standard edition of Xero, Xero Cashbook allows your clients to manage their cashflow over the internet with no software to install and no hassle to set up.

A LITTLE OR A LOT

Xero Cashbook has two roles to meet the different levels of help clients need.

1. The Managed Client role gives clients access so they can add comments on bank transactions, which you can then code. This helps them become familiar with accounting without having to learn all aspects, and it’s perfect for ‘shoebox’ clients.

2. The Cashbook Client role provides more functionality. The client can easily code transactions and prepare cash-based sales tax reports. It’s ideal for clients currently using installed cashbook software or Excel spreadsheets.

With Xero Cashbook your clients don’t have to be intimidated by complex accounting features. When they are ready and willing to manage invoicing and payables, simply offer to seamlessly upgrade them and unlock further functionality within Xero.

Xero Partner Edition is only available to accountants and bookkeepers, and provides you with the tools and security you need while working with your clients’ valuable data. Your staff can use the same tool for managing all your cashbook and accrual clients. The ability to offer user roles within Xero Partner Edition lets you control the level of access that’s appropriate for your clients. For those clients who aren’t yet ready to code their accounts, the Managed Client user role simply allows the clients to add comments against each bank transaction.

As they become more confident, you can upgrade them to the Cashbook Client user role, which provides full access to coding. Meanwhile, as the accountant or bookkeeper, the full power of Xero is still at your disposal, including fixed asset register and depreciation, management reports and annual accounts.

When your clients are ready to manage their own invoicing and reports, you can seamlessly upgrade them within Xero from Cashbook to a Business Plan,

Xero and the Partner each acknowledge and agree that they will endeavour to take

reasonable action to achieve a successful outcome in the Xero Partner Program.

THE PARTNER AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING STARTER STEPS:

• Accept the Terms of Agreement on the Xero website • Add their first clients to Xero

• Assign a Xero champion who will complete Xero certification

• Host a Xero dedicated landing page on your company website that includes an active hyperlink to www.xero.com and complies with the Xero Brand Guidelines

Acceptance to the Xero Partner Program will be confirmed when the Partner completes the starter steps above.

XERO AGREES TO PROVIDE:

• Access to all the benefits of the Xero Partner Program at the specified status level, including: • Access to Xero Partner Edition – a subscription to manage clients centrally

• One subscription to Xero for internal use at no cost

• Access to Partner-only information and support from the Xero Partner Enablement Team

TO MAINTAIN PARTNERSHIP STATUS, THE PARTNER AGREES TO:

• Actively promote Xero to clients

• Ensure that at least one staff member is Xero certified

• Promote Xero on the practice website, maintaining an active hyperlink to www.xero.com and adhering to the Xero Brand Guidelines including not using use the name Xero in company name, product name, service offering, or URL. Xero is trademarked

• Offer clients value-added services that feature and include Xero

DURATION OF THE AGREEMENT

Once the Partner Application Form has been completed, this agreement will remain until superseded or terminated by either party.

DISPUTES AND TERMINATION OF THE AGREEMENT

Either party may terminate this agreement for any reason, giving notice of one month.

Xero reserves the right to accept or decline any organisation or individual becoming a Xero Partner and to terminate its relationship with any existing Partner for any reason, including if that organisation or individual is not an accountant, bookkeeper or financial advisor as determined by Xero in its discretion.

• Accountant – a registered tax agent offering accounting services to clients • Bookkeeper – a registered BAS Agent offering bookkeeping services to clients

• Financial Advisor – an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) holder or authorised AFSL representative offering financial advisory services to clients

BILLING AND STATUS

To qualify for pricing margin on organisations subscribed for by the Partner, the billing accounts must be paid by the Partner and not by the individual clients. The Partner must nominate and advise Xero who, within the practice, will be responsible for all matters relating to the billing account. The Partner agrees to adhere to the Xero subscription and payment terms. Partner status is determined by the number of organisations for which the Partner is a subscriber or primary invited user.
