The arrival is depending on the mean of trasport you choose and on your arrival place in Italy.

how to get here 1/2

step1: reach milan central station

MI-MALPENSA airport: MPX

Biggest airport in Milan, and also the one with the priciest bus companies! To reach Central Train Station you have now two options:

-mean of trasport ... BUS / several companies ... TRAIN / malpensa express -departure ... Terminal 1 ... Terminal 1

-arrival ... MI-Central Train Station ... MI-Central Train Station -timetable ... every 30 min ... every 30 min -travel duration... 1 hour ... 1 hour -cost of ticket... 10€ one way / 16€ both ways ... 10€ one way -where to buy tickets ... purchase on the bus ... ticket machines

MI-ORIO AL SERIO airport: BGY

-mean of trasport ... Bus / 2 companies -departure ... Milano Malpensa airport -arrival ... Milano Central Train Station -timetable ... every 30 min -travel duration...25 min -cost of ticket... 5€ one way / 9€ both ways -where to buy tickets ... purchase on the bus

MI-LINATE airport: LIN

-mean of trasport ... Bus / 2 companies -departure ... Milano Malpensa airport -arrival ... Milano Central Train Station -timetable ... every 30 min -travel duration...25 min -cost of ticket... 5€ one way / 9€ both ways -where to buy tickets ... purchase on the bus

MI-Central

Station (LIN)

(BGY)

[ If you land at Terminal 2, just hop on the free bus that will take you to Terminal 1 for FREE ] BY CAR :

I wouldn't suggest that, since parking in Milan is always either a pain or expensive, but if it's the cheapest/easiest way for you, I'm sure your GPS will help you out more then we can!

You made it to Milan!!! congrats!!!

Our meeting point will be in Piazza Bottini, a square right in front of Lambrate F.S. on the side that goes towards Via Pacini.

However you decide to get here, you'll now need to get on the subway.

To get there, just take the Green Line subway ( the tickets cost 1,50€ ), in Central Station you must take direction "Gessate/Cologno Nord", and get off at the subway stop "Lambrate".

Once you get out, you'll find yourself either in the square or in a street facing it. Go and wait for the BESTie with whom you will be put in contact before your departure. You'll find him/her right in front of Piazza Bottini and you'll walk together to the hostel ( just a few min. away ).

step2: from Central station to “the meeting point”

how to get here 2/2

REMEMBER TO . . . . . . double check your phone number when you give it to us, it might avoid some extra waiting after the exhausting trip

Just in case, here you can find the address of the hostel, but know that you will need one of us to check in anyways! We have had a need to re-structure our economic-model ever since.

Having said that, in the industrial world "made in Italy" is still associated with great quality.

We do have a gigantic public debt, but we have a really really low pri-vate debt compared to many other countries, such as the US. This me-ans everyone is poor, but we're poor al together! Our economy after the

war started to focus on the first manufacturing of imported raw materials and tourism, which beca-me both very profitable due to the exchange rate of the Lira: when the Euro came by, the exchange rate was about 1 Euro for 2000 Italian Liras, ridicu-lous.

With the Lira gone, these businesses stopped being so profitable for us.

Italy is a country located on the Italian Peninsula, (famous for its "boot ki-cking" a ball shape, whi-ch is why we're so good at soccer) and on the two largest islands in the Me-diterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia.

Italy is also where a whole lot of early european hi-story happened, especial-ly around Rome, our Capi-tal. Today, Italy isn't quite as grand as it used to be.

ITALY

ITALIAN WINE ECONOMY Italy is the world's lar-gest wine producer! De-spite the global demand decrease, it's the only not newly industrialized Country with a growth in exportation of +5.5%. Pie Chart about worldwide wine production.

MILAN

Moving around the city is quite simple in day time, we have four metro li-nes and a number of bu-ses and trams, it becomes a bit more challenging at night, and taxis are crazy expensive.

I'd tell you about the ci-ty's social life, but I have feeling you'll find out soon enough!!

Milan is one of the wor-ld's fashion headquar-ters, being the heart of empires such as Armani, Prada, Gucci etc. It's also the economical capital of the country, and most of the worldwide famous in-dustries from Italy are lo-cated in the area between Milan and Brescia.

The technological inno-vation is also brought by the Politecnico di Milano, ranked 30th best techni-cal school in the world by www.topuniversities.com.

JUST A HINT:

Oscar Farinetti ( founder

of Eataly ) said in his last interview :

"The encounter between the winds and the sea breezes in our seas with the fresh air that co-mes from our hills and our mountains creates an atmosphere unique in the world, so Italy is the country that has more species of plants and animals around the world: Each Italian region has more plant."species than any European state. Bio-diversity is the key."
