Rocanville School Newsletter
Hello Students and Parents,
It is hard to believe how quickly September has gone by as we settle into a new school year and adjust to the guidelines put in place to keep our school community safe during the COVID pandemic. Students, staff and parents need to be commended on working through changes to our daily routines and taking the time to understand the precautions put in place. We hope that these practices slow the spread of the virus and keep everyone at Rocanville School healthy.
A few reminders to note in light of the guidelines:
• Monitor symptoms of COVID according to the health authority and keep children at home when displaying symptoms. Consult 811 and the health authority website for guidance.
• Remind your children to practice social distancing wherever possible and to wash their hands before they leave for school and when they return home. Hand washing and sanitizing is an important practice throughout our school day too.
• Send food items that are easily opened by the student so others do not have to touch their food containers.
• Parents should call the office first for pick up and drop off arrangements rather than entering the school. If permission to enter the school is given, parents MUST wear a mask and report to the office window.
• Students should arrive no earlier than 8:30 am and socially distance from other grade groups by keeping to their designated outdoor space.
As always check your email and our Facebook group for updates and reminders from our school.
Have a great fall Rocanville School! Yours in Education,
Nathan Bromm

Another school year is well underway and the library has been busy. Although the students are unable to come to the library, I try to take a piece of the library to them. Each class has library once in the six day cycle so you will notice that your child is still able to bring home library books to read. When books are returned, they are put into isolation for 24 hours before they are allowed to go out again.
Saskatchewan Library Week is coming up on October 18th to October 24th. I am not sure what we will be
able to do to celebrate this week safely but I will be thinking on that over the next couple of weeks to come up with a plan for something fun!
I hope you have a bountiful Thanksgiving and a Happy Haunted Hallowe’en.
