About the Speakers – Kris Miller, CBAP

Kris Miller received her CBAP certification in December 2012 and has a

bachelor’s degree in International Business from San Jose State University.

Kris is also currently working as a Business Analysis on-line course instructor

thru the UC Davis Extension program. Kris has also previously served on the

IIBA-SVC Chapter board as the 2017 VP of Membership and VP of Education &

Certification in 2015. Kris is excited to share her knowledge about IIBA

About the Speakers – Tami Wilde, CBAP

Tami Wilde has nearly 30 years of experience as a Business Analyst and is

currently a Sr. Process Improvement Analyst at Golden 1 Credit Union. She

was the 2016 VP of Education & Certification for the IIBA-SVC Chapter,

which helped her and some of her study group participants pass the CBAP

exam for the BABOK v2. She was also the 2017 IIBA-SVC Chapter President.

Tami loves sharing about what she knows about obtaining her CBAP to help

other analysts avoid the pitfalls she experienced.

Effective March 1, 2021, IIBA will start conducting the ECBA exam based on a slightly updated blueprint.

Currently, there is only minor coverage in the Strategy Analysis and Solution

Evaluation knowledge areas and although these are important, they are not areas of focus for new business analysis

professionals. Corporate members have confirmed that Techniques are an

important area of focus in the first year on the job. Therefore, the blueprint and exam are being updated to align

Recognizes skilled BA professionals who have 2 -3 years of practical business analysis work experience.

About the Exams

Exam Number of Question & Exam Time Allocation

ECBA Exam has 50 multiple choice knowledge-based questions and must be completed in one hour. CCBA Exam is 3 hours long and consists of 130 multiple choice questions. The questions are

scenario-based (i.e. candidate must do a bit of analysis to arrive at the answer).

CBAP Exam is 3.5 hours long and consists of 120 multiple choice questions. The questions are case study-based (i.e. longer cases (1-1.5 pages) of information) with multiple questions about the case.

This exam is now a live, online-delivered exam that requires a computer, webcam, microphone, and access to the Internet.

AAC The Agile Analysis certification exam, formulated from the Agile Extension to the BABOK® Guide, consists of 85 multiple choice, scenario-based questions, and must be completed within 2 hours. It is a live, online-delivered exam that requires a computer, webcam, microphone, and access to the Internet.
