1. St. Anthony’s is offering $1,000 scholarship for students enrolling in a healthcare related field. Eligibility requirements and applications are available in the guidance office and are due at St. Anthony’s by May 8, 2015.

2. SP Scholarship - $10,000 - 1 Award (Deadline: May 15, 2015) Student Eligibility:

5. 2015 BBG Communications Scholarship - $500 - 1 Award (Deadline: June 30, 2015) Student Eligibility:

7. Seniors pursuing a career in the oil and gas industry should go to www.inoga.org and apply for the Indiana Oil & Gas Association Scholarship. Preference will be given to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the areas of Earth Sciences, Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Geology. 8. 10. Men of A-Chord Choral Scholarship - $1,500

A one-time award available to an incoming male student from Illiana Christian, Timothy Christian, Chicago Christian or Covenant Christian High School who was a participant in its choral program, and who will continue to participate at Trinity Christian College. The recipient must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA. The scholarship is available for new students entering in Fall 2015. 5. America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders provides rural students with the opportunity to earn a $1,500 scholarship to further their agriculture education. Apply online at

10. Buick Achievers Scholarship Program – fields of study related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Deadline is Feb. 27. Check out the details at www.buickachievers.com

11. State Farm Good Neighbor Scholarship is for students who plan to attend college, technical, or

vocational school and can demonstrate financial need. Applicants must have a cumulative gpa of 2.5 to 3.2. Deadline is March 2. For more information, go to www.scholarshipamerica.org

12. Seniors who live in Jasper Co., have a minimum 2.5 GPA and a college acceptance letter are eligible to apply for the $500.00 Little Cousin Jasper Scholarship. Applicants will submit an application that lists all of the volunteer work that they have been involved in for the four years that they have been in high school. The winner will be selected primarily based on volunteer involvement in community, church, etc. Applications can be found in the office or on the website www.littlecousinjasper.com and are due on March 19. 13. Indiana Sheriffs’ Association will be awarding scholarships to students who are pursuing a degree in criminal justice studies. There will be approximately forty $500 scholarships awarded. To qualify:

b. Current member of the Indiana Sheriff Association or a dependent child or grandchild of current member

c. Plan to attend an Indiana college or university d. Major in law enforcement

14. The Commission for Higher Education sponsors contest and grant opportunities for each of its three annual Learn More Indiana campaigns throughout the year. One student in each grade across the state will be chosen from the entries to win $529 in an Indiana CollegeChoice 529 savings plan and schools can win $1,000 college-readiness grants by sharing their efforts to increase students’ financial

15. The Jasper County Republican Women Scholarship is available to U.S. Citizens who are Jasper County residents and have a GPA of C or better. A $250.00 scholarship will be paid directly to the student's college. Applications are due in the Clerk's Office at the Jasper County Courthouse by March 31, 2015. First consideration will be given to those with financial need and those who are registered to vote (if you are 18 years old). Applications are available in the guidance office. Completed applications may be turned in to Mrs. Dorn for mailing, but don’t miss the deadline.

16. The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. The BigSun Scholarship is a $500.00 scholarship offered to a high school senior currently involved in a sport. Go to http://www.bigsunathletics.com to apply.

1. Indiana State University is looking for highly motivated high school sophomores and juniors to participate in their Summer Honors program. The program accepts talented high school students who would like to “Think outside the books”. Visit www.indstate.edu/experience or check out the poster in the front hall of school.

2. If you would like to be considered for nomination for the Purdue Research Park Entrepreneurship Academy you must let Mrs. Dorn know before April 2. For more information go to

3. Lowe’s is offering the Lowe’s Educational Scholarship which is available to all high school seniors who plan to attend an accredited 2/4 year college/university within the United States. Selection is based on leadership skills, community service and academic achievement. 375 scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $15,000 will be awarded. message about the dangers of texting and driving and possibly win $5,000. Text txtl8r.in.gov to register and for more details. The contest runs from April 1st through April 30th. You can work on this one with another person or even as a team of 3. If your team wins you each earn $5,000.00.

5. Aspiring Animation Professional Scholarship Program is offering high school seniors the opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship. This will be awarded to students who are interested in pursuing an animation career path at an accredited post-secondary school. Visit www.animationcareerreview.com for an application.

6. A Fashion Professional Scholarship Program is offering a $1,000. Scholarship to students interested in pursuing a fashion degree at an accredited post-secondary school or college. The application deadline is June 1, 2014 and are available at www.fashionschools.org.

7. Cosmetology School Scholarships are available through Great Clips. Check out

8. Aspiring Pharmacy Technician Scholarship Program is offering high school seniors the opportunity to win a $1,000. scholarship. 1. Active Data offers a $1,000.00 scholarship available for seniors entering college in the fall of 2014. Students will write an essay between 500 and 1,000 words telling them why knowing what’s happening on campus is vital to your success as a student. Applications can be found at

2. Heart on Your Wrist is offering a $1,000. Scholarship to a senior student who is a talented thinker and writer. To apply, write an essay (500 words maximum) that addresses the question: What innovative ways do you see social media changing the way people buy jewelry? 4. The Songwriters’ Association of Mid-north Indiana (SAMI) is accepting applications for the 2014 Shirley Martin Scholarship for Young Songwriters. These awards are for songwriters age 14-19. Applications are due by April 4, 2014. Application forms are available at www.samisong.com. Added January

2. Seniors with an interest in pursuing a career in the field of psychology should consider applying for The Indiana Association of School Psychologists Scholarship. The application postmark deadline is March 1. Download an application at http://www.iasponline.org.

1. Juniors with a passion for Journalism should check out the Al Neuharth Free Spirit and Journalism Conference being held from June 21-16, 2014 at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. Fifty-one students will be chosen to receive an all-expenses-paid journalism conference. For more information go to www.freespirit.org. Applications are due February 1, 2014.

2. Student athletes should consider applying for the Playing with Purpose Scholarship. This award is for outstanding Christian Student Athletes. Students must be a sophomore, junior or senior, maintain a minimum C average, be currently a varsity level athlete in one or more sports and a committed follower of Jesus Christ. 1. The Visiting Nurse Association of Porter County and the family of Tricia Marie Simpson Russell have established a memorial scholarship to assist individual nursing students to advance their education. A $2,000. scholarship will be awarded at the VNA's Annual Dinner Meeting in February 2014.

Applications are due to the Visiting Nurse Association by Feb. 1, 2014. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.

2. Ronald McDonald House Charities sponsors the U.S. Scholarship Program. Graduating seniors should visit www.rmhc.org for more information or apply at https://aim.applyists.net/RMHC. They are looking for students who are exemplary role models in their communities and have the initiative to fulfill their educational goals. The application deadline is January 21, 2014.

3. Exceptional student leaders are invited to apply for the 2014 GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program. The program annually rewards up to 20 college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity and citizenship with $10,000. renewable scholarships (up to $40,000. per recipient). Applications will be accepted online until January 9, 2014. Additional information is available online. You may contact the program's administrator at ge-reagan@scholarshipamerica.org. 4. Students interested in a career in insurance and risk management or financial services should consider Indiana State University’s Gongaware Scholarship. Students must possess a minimum 3.5 GPA; be in the top 10 percent of their graduating class; score at least 1500 on the SAT or 21 on the ACT and complete a Core 40 or Academic Honors Diploma. 5. WyzAnt Tutoring is proud to announce their annual WyzAnt College Scholarships. Students are invited to compete for $15,000 in total scholarships. Winners are based on essay submissions answering the question, "If you could teach everyone in the world one thing, what would it be?" The contest is open to high school sophomores through college juniors. The deadline for submissions is May 1, 2014. 1. The 2014 Prudential Spirit of Community Award recognizes young people for volunteer service in their community. All middle school and high school students who have taken part in community service activities are encouraged to apply. Fill in an application at http://spirit.prudential.com or

www.nassp.org/spirit and submit it to Mr. Oudman by November 5, 2013 or call (877)525-8491. 2. The Indiana Assoc. for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance is soliciting applicants for the

AHPERD High School Scholarship Awards. Four $500.00 scholarships will be awarded to college-bound high school seniors who plan to attend an Indiana college or university and pursue an education leading to a degree in health education, physical education, recreation, dance education or sports administration. The application deadline is January 15, 2014. Copies of the application are available in the guidance office or at www.inahperd.org.

3. The consulting firm of AES Engineers is committed to continuing its support of higher education by offering a $500.00 scholarship to a college bound senior. Students need to answer one of the essay questions available at http://www.aesengineers.com/scholarships.htm. The scholarship will be awarded based on character as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted. The deadline for entry is October 6, 2014. More information is available at the website.

4. Comcast NBCUniversal announces the Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program. The program recognizes high school seniors from Comcast communities for their commitment to

community service, academics and leadership. Recipients will receive a one-time grant of $1,000.00 One student may be nominated to apply for this award. Students must have a minimum 2.8 gpa, demonstrate leadership, show a strong commitment to and involvement in community service and plan to attend an accredited college/university or vocational/technical school in the US. Last year more than 950 scholarship were awarded.

5. If integrity, determination and courage describe you then you have what it takes to be a Horatio Alger Scholar. Scholarship recipients are students who possess the character to succeed in life. Scholarships are given to help students overcome the financial barriers of pursuing higher education. Students must have a minimum 2.0 gpa and require financial assistance. Apply at www.horatioalger.org/scholarships. Further requirements include being a US citizen and demonstrating need ($55,000. Or lower adjusted gross family income). The scholarship deadline is October 25, 2013.

6. Global Lift Equipment Scholarship is a $500.00 scholarship awarded to an eligible student who must be planning to attend a post-secondary institution in September of 2014. Students must have a minimum 2.5 gpa and will submit a short story. Applications and further information can be found at

of 16-22 who plans to attend a college, university, trade or technical school by the fall of 2014. Students must answer the essay question prior to the Oct. 30 deadline. More information is available at

engage more students in lifesaving community services. By donating blood or platelets, helping out at a blood drive and recruiting new donors, students can earn a Red Cross Red Cord to wear at graduation, the chance to win a $5,000 scholarship, and a college recommendation letter from a local Red Cross executive. 9. The Odenza Marketing Group Spring Scholarship is available to students who are between the ages of 16 and 25 on March 30, 2014. Have at least one full year of post secondary studies remaining at the time of the award and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. 1. Students in grades 10-12 who are passionate about Music, Photography, Writing, Theater, Cinematic Arts, Dance, Jazz, Visual Arts, and Voice are encouraged to apply for a Young Arts Award. The Young Arts' Award application deadline is October 19th. For more information go to

2. One of our students has received a Discus Award . The Discus Awards was launched in October 2009 and since has recognized thousands of all-around high school students and awarded more than $5 million in scholarships. athletics and leadership. Seniors who have at least a "B" grade average and participate in at least one school-sponsored sport can apply for the Wendy's High School Heisman Scholarship online in just a few easy steps at www.WendysHeisman.com. Your information must be submitted by October 2, 2012. Added October

Youth Activity Fund Student Grants (Award deadline Nov. 1) This fund for high school students and college undergraduates fosters a new generation of explorers dedicated to the advancement of scientific knowledge of the world. Awards typically range from $500. to $1,500. A few awards may be granted up to a $5,000. award level. Applications can be found at

2. Healthy Lifestyles Scholarship - $5,000. (Award deadline Dec. 15) The Healthy Lifestyles Scholarship is available to high school and college students. To be eligible for this award, you must be a U.S. citizen under 25 years of age and answer both of the following essay questions: 1. In under 1,000 words write "Why is a healthy lifestyle important in school?" and in under 500 words describe your career plans, goals and personal ambitions. Applications can be found at

4. Kankakee Valley Women's Club offers three different scholarships each year to those living within the KV School District. A $750.00 Scholarship is awarded to at least one graduating senior attending a four year college. A $250.00 Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior attending a technical/vocational school and a $500.00 Scholarship to a female age 25 years of age or older returning to school.

Applications may be picked up from our Guidance Office. Applications must be postmarked by May 1. 5. The Indiana Junior Chamber of Commerce Senate will be offering an opportunity for seniors during the 2012-13 school year to apply for a $1,000. academic scholarship. 6. The AXA Achievement Community Scholarship is available for up to 375 winners nationwide. Scholarships of $2,000 will be awarded. To learn more apply online at www.axa-achievement.com. Applications must be submitted by February 1, 2013.

1. Best Buy is awarding $1.1 million in scholarships to teens. Students in grades 9-12 are eligible to apply. Students who demonstrate good grades, commitment to community service and/or work experience are eligible to apply. 1,100 scholarships of $1,000. each will be awarded. 2. Mediacom is offering $60,000. in scholarships to high school seniors. Applications can be downloaded at www.mediacomworldclass.com and are due February 15, 2013. All scholarship applications must include a brief essay on leadership and the student's school transcript. Further inquiries may be sent to scholarship@mediacomcc.com.

4. Calvin is offering an opportunity for students to participate in the Summer Academy. 1. Kid's Chance of Indiana Scholarship program offers annual educational scholarships to children 16 yrs. and older of Indiana workers who have passed away or been permanently disabled as a result of a work related accident or occupational illness.
