TOWN HOUSE ABERDEEN

Welcome to Aberdeen’s 50+Directory full of activities and opportunities for the 50+ age group resident in Aberdeen.
Sport and leisure play a vital role in every community in boosting health and fitness levels. The activities and opportunities available today can also form the basis of many new friendships.
It is important that everyone is afforded the opportunity, regardless of age, which is yet another reason I am proud to be able to support this further development of the 50+ programme.
Having browsed through the booklet, I’ve found many interesting and exciting ventures on offer and I would urge you all to consider enrolling in one of the many activities and clubs available. It sounds like enormous fun!

Church services

Presbytery of Aberdeen – church involvement in the community All congregations exist within Aberdeen's communities as a presence of care and compassion to all who would seek support.
Most congregations are very happy to host community, NHS or council meetings as well as providing space for community groups to use.
Many parishioners are involved in voluntary groups throughout Aberdeen. Congregations conduct regular services in care homes and sheltered housing within parishes and visits to the
housebound. Ministers and other pastoral team members make regular visits to city hospitals.
Congregations are happy to welcome those with disabilities. Many have loop systems for those with hearing difficulties most have wheelchair access and adapted toilet facilities and others have large print bibles.

Dorothy Marshall organises and conducts with Jimmy Reith playing piano and arrangements. Most singers do not read music but people who do read are welcome. While the intention of the group is to sing, it is also a gathering for like-minded people. We rehearse for around 40 weeks in the year and perform on request at events.
