practitioner to the Enrollment Services Center (A-100) or scan and email

Submit Official Transcripts

Request your schools to submit transcripts electronically, or

Bring transcripts with you in sealed institution envelopes when you

meet with your advisor or mail to:

Step 4: Testing

All students (unless exempt) must have TSI test scores on file prior to

registration. Test scores are used to place students in appropriate courses;

they are not used to deny admission.

Determine if testing is required at www.AlvinCollege.edu/

AdvisingServices/Testing. If exempt, proof of exemption is required.

If required, take the TSI Assessment test prior to your advising session.

Register and pay for testing online at https://app.AlvinCollege.edu/

Testing or in person at the Enrollment Services Center (A-100).

Step 5: Advising

Meet with an Academic Advisor to discuss your Academic Goals - required for

all first time college students.

Step 6:

Attend New Student Orientation

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) information is used to determine

financial aid eligibility for grants, loans, scholarships and work-study opportunities.

Step 1: Complete the Admissions Process

Complete an ACC Admissions application. You must be fully admitted in

order for your financial aid eligibility to be determined.

Step 2: PIN Number

Obtain a PIN number at www.pined.gov to electronically sign the FAFSA.

Step 3: Complete the FAFSA

Application is available online at www.fasfa.ed.gov. ACC school code is

003539.

Step 4: Submit Documents

Submit all required documents to the Enrollment Services Center by the

priority deadline.

We Support Our Students!

Campus Police –

The safety of students, faculty, staff and visitors at Alvin Community

College is a priority. Each campus is staffed with police and public safety officials. Plans have been developed for emergency preparedness and a system has been created for notifying students of campus closures due to inclement weather or other safety issues.

Career Services & Job Placement –

Provides a variety of job opportunity services

including onsite career resources, workshops, career assessment tools, resume review, mock interviews and job placement assistance.

Child Development Lab –

The lab school provides a model preschool education

experience and care-giving setting for children ages 18 months to 6 years. The school is open year round and is a licensed facility with a maximum of 67 children. Students, employees and the community are welcome to use the lab school services for a fee.

College Store –

Allows students to order textbooks online, rent textbooks and purchase

new and used books. College Store also sells school supplies and a wide variety of logo items and accessories. In addition, Study Grounds offers snacks and beverages. Textbook buyback is available during specific posted dates.

Computer Labs –

Provides students with open-lab access to computers and software for

academic needs and knowledge development.

Disability Support Services –

Provides support services to students with disabilities

that will allow equal access to college classes, services and events. Services are available to any student with a disability who provides appropriate documentation of his disability.

Enrollment Services Center (ESC) –

One stop shop to assist with Admissions,

Advising, Financial Aid, Testing and Transcript requests.

International Students Services -

Dedicated to assisting International Students with

academic matters, immigration regulations, personal concerns and assisting students to achieve their educational goals in the United States.

Learning Lab –

Provides FREE resources to help students succeed academically -

including Tutoring, Computer/Printer Access, Testing for classes and Academic Success Strategies workshops.

Library –

Provides resources, services and facilities to help maximize academic,

professional and personal success.

Mental Health & Wellness –

Licensed Professional Counselors and online resources

are available to help students that are struggling with depression, anxiety, stress and other emotional issues.
