Abraham Lincoln was a 19th century American politician. He was born in 1809. He became the 16th president of the USA

in 1860. He was a Republican. He led the country during the civil war and he abolished slavery. In 1865 he was assassinated.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK) was a 20th century

American politician. He was born on May 19th 1917. He started as 35th president of the USA in 1960. He was a Democrat. He supported racial integration and civil rights and he wanted America to be the 1st on the moon. In 1963 he was assassinated in Dallas.

the second → 2nd the twenty second → 22nd the third → 3rd

the fourth → 4th

the fifth → 5th

… On les utilise pour :

the ninth → 9th - classer des choses

… - pour dire une date

the eleventh → 11th - donner les titres des rois

the twelfth → 12th …

the twentieth → 20th

Attention: il y a → there is / are (il existe) → … ago (cela fait...)
