INVITATION LETTER FROM THE ESPA PRESIDENT

Dear partners,

It is my great pleasure and honour to invite you to our 8th European Congress on Paediatric Anaesthesia which is being held on September 29th – October 1st, 2016 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belgrade in Serbia. The congress is organized by the European Society for Paediatric Anaesthesiology (ESPA) in collaboration with the Serbian Association of Anaesthesiologists and Intensivists and the Serbian Medical Society, the Section for Anaesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Therapy.

The congress gathers outstanding experts from all over the world and all European leaders from the fi eld of paediatric anaesthesiology and covers the latest clinical and experimental evidence in the fi eld. We believe that this congress attracts even more participants than in previous years thanks to great collaboration with the local organizing committee. The number of participants is increasing steadily over the years and we expect more than 500 participants in Belgrade. A wide selection of sponsorship opportunities is available for you and can be found in this prospectus. We also hope in further development of our digital services provided to participants during our congresses. So far, we have developed the ESPA Congress App which was a great success in Istanbul this year. We hope that with your help we can move forward in Belgrade and create a perfect app that makes networking easier for our participants.

INVITATION LETTER FROM THE LOC CHAIR

Dear partners,

Our country has been honoured to host and organize the 8th European Congress on Paediatric Anaesthesia. The congress is being held in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belgrade from September 29th to October 1st, 2016. Besides our eminent and foreign lecturers, we also expect more than 500 paediatric anaesthesiologists from all over the world to participate in the event.

Paediatric anaesthesiologists are engaged in the resuscitation of children, they provide anaesthesia during surgical and diagnostic procedures and also treat severely ill children in intensive care units. In addition, they manage emergency conditions and treat chronic and acute pain. Paediatric anaesthesia is a specifi c part of anaesthesia that requires special training and education, taking into account that children are not just “small adults” and every age is unique in terms of anatomy, physiology and psychology.

On top of treating children, educating younger colleagues in paediatric anaesthesia, resuscitation, intensive care and pain therapy is also a part of our work.

This is the fi rst time that a scientifi c symposium of such category is being held in Belgrade. This event represents an opportunity for us, as paediatric anaesthesiologists, to present our country and medicine to the world in the best possible way.

Our paediatric patients are the greatest motivation to keep pace with the latest scientifi c achievements, however besides our enthusiasm we also need your fi nancial support to organize this event to its fullest.

I would like to invite you to join us in organizing this big event. Your contribution to this important event helps us achieve our goal while giving you an opportunity to present your company to the international public.

Maximum duration of the symposium is 60 minutes and includes time for preparation. The topic and content of the Satellite Symposium must be agreed by the ESPA Scientifi c Committee.
