A Shadow Boat can also be constructed as a fully customized expedition yacht with a range exceeding 25,000 nautical miles for significantly lower exspence than a traditional yacht of similar size and capability. A Shadow Boat is economical, it’s annual
operating costs are significantly lower than a traditional yacht. Additionally, its vast fuel stores can reduce the cost of operating your primary vessel during your voyage, allowing in-route refueling at duty-free prices.
The process starts with you, every Shadow Boat is custom tailored to its owners needs. Starting with a proven steel hull design our experienced naval architects have created a flexible design that provides the perfect platform for any
potential customer need. Shadow Marine sources its hulls from the finest Louisiana shipbuilders, and after a thorough inspection process, the hull is transported to Jacksonville, Florida for customizing by our skilled shipwrights. FLUME passive stabilization systems make our Shadow Boats smooth handling and safe in the roughest of seas. The addition of a standard bow thruster and an optional stern thruster makee the Shadow even easier to handle in tight
quarters such as a crowded harbor. All equipment onboard a Shadow Boat meets or exceeds ABS standards to provide the ultimate in safety and reliability.

In addition to providing space for tenders and helicopters, a Shadow Boat provides ample room for installation of virtually any physical facility. A Shadow Boat lets you welcome guests with deluxe cabins and amenities. It can also support an expanded staff, such as drivers, mechanics and pilots, nannies and personal assistants, or an additional crew for rotation onto the main yacht for extensive entertaining or large social functions.
For active pastimes, consider: a full gym, swimming pool, racquetball court, driving range or basketball court. The design can accommodate a full service dive platform with moon pool, decompression chamber, and nitrox mixing station. In the event of a problem, from something as minor as running out of your favorite wine or snack, to mechanical issues such as engine failure, or other emergency situations, a Shadow Boat is always nearby to provide assistance. A Shadow Boat brings safety and security to daily ship activities, its large unobstructed helo-deck assures safe helicopter operations. Tenders, speedboats, jet skis, mini-subs, water toys, and automobiles can be protected and secured out of harms way inside the Shadow Boat’s large storage hanger ready for use at a moments notice. The built-in crane makes the loading and unloading of vehicles and supplies safe and easy.
In the event of a breakdown, the Shadow Boat’s nearly limitless storage space allows for the carrying of spare part stores or having a full machine shop onboard to allow the
manufacture of replacement parts. If a repair cannot be affected, a Shadow Boat is
powerful enough to tow your vessel to safe harbor for repairs. In the event of an emergency the Shadow Boat is on hand to assist.
In unfamiliar waters a Shadow Boat is invaluable, it’s steel hull and shallow draft make it ideal for plotting a safe course through a narrow channel or shoal waters. Unfamiliar waters can also harbor other more sinister dangers; a Shadow Boat’s presence alone can provide a protective perimeter to prevent other vessels from approaching.
It can function as a guard vessel housing an armory and security personnel; it can even serve as a platform for high-speed defensive craft with helicopter air support. As standard
equipment every Shadow Boat is equipped with an Oregon Camera Systems, Sea Star surveillance system. This system combines cutting-edge thermal imaging and light
intensification technology with a high resolution CCD camera, to provide an unparalleled measure of security with its all-weather and long-range identification capabilities.
