WELCOME TO THE TIC
TEAM
Welcome our newest team member to the Tucson Indian Center Family and Social Services Dept.
Valentin’s background is mainly in the Criminal Justice field; he served twenty years as a Military Police Officer in the United States Army, five years as a Corrections Supervisor with the Arizona Department of Corrections, and one year with the Texas Municipal Court as a Com-munity Service Coordinator. Most recently, Valentin worked for the Department of Economic Security as a Veterans Employment Advocate/Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist, where he assisted Veterans with overcoming significant barriers to employment so they could re-enter the workforce. Here at TIC Valentin will assist Native Americans with employment services. Valentin was born in Atwater, CA, but was raised on various Military communities both stateside and over-seas due to his father’s service with the United States Air Force. Valentin graduated High School here in Tucson at Santa Rita High School, and is an alumnus of the Univer-sity of Phoenix where he received his Bachelors of
Science in Criminal Justice Administration. Valentin is excited and happy to be working for TIC, and is ready to start assisting those with employment needs.
